Next time use gold fish! They love them. I’m from south Mississippi and that’s what we use! But we run the lines all the way across the river and sink them to the bottom

I’m in Kentucky . We use milk jugs because they float. Attach line with a treble hook. Go to the grocery store and buy chicken livers. Leave them outside for a few days to rot. Put the livers on the treble hook and you will not BELIEVE the cats you can catch. We call it jug fishing.

My redneck friends in the south call it Bank fishing 🎣 and we used bamboo and nylon cord and attached fishing line, and checked 20 or 30 poles several times in the night. Yall did an excellent job 👏 👏 👏. Proud of yall.

Run your lines out to the middle of the channel. Use a brick or block for the weight on the end. Use live shiners. Bait just before dark and check at daylight. Use circle hooks also if you can find them. 🤘🏼

My step grandfather caught a 72 lb Catfish on a Trot Line. It was huge. I think the record is 131 lbs and he caught it on a fishing pole. It was a blue catfish. I don’t know what kind the ones you caught were. Great video. I’m glad those weren’t snapping turtles. That would have made it much more difficult and I’m glad no turtles were hurt or killed.
