Wow this was an eye opener. Especially living here in the US. Everything we have is basically in a box. We don't see the background behind it. I see the importance of connecting with nature and the creation around us to reflect on Allah more. One of the reason I homeschool my kids is to connect with nature more. 😅

The leaf of the mulberry tree. It’s colour, smell, taste and everything about it seem one and the same to you. But a caterpillar eats it and it comes out as fine silken thread. A bee feeds on it and it comes out as honey. A sheep eats it and it comes out as dung. Gazelles chew on it and conceals producing the fragrance of musk. who has made all these different things come from the same type of leaf.

The bees are really wonderful...a sign of the priceless gift to us...honey as shifa'...different colours of honey has different medicinal benefits for us... It is really a clear sign of how much Allah Love us and How Abundance are His Ni'mah for us. Should not we be Grateful? Should not we submit to Him and Him alone? How can we not acknowledge His Blessings and continue to disobey Him?

Assalamu Alaikum. Jazakumullah Khairan for this and all your beautiful reflections. Was blown away by the feminine plural in the Qur’an for the bees gathering honey. Sh Abdullah described it as the Queen being the head of the hive, but it is my understanding that only female bees do the collection of nectar. Subahanallah. I’m sure apiarists will correct me if I am wrong.

Asalam alaykum Dr Omar, please I have a very important question, I don't know if you will read this please 2 young Muslims enter into relationship in the believe to make it halaal one day, both parents knows about their relationship, though one part is quite unsupportive, at the end of the day, the lady got pregnant when still dating, they're not married yet, they decided to take the punishment as the Quran stated for Zina but their country doesn't practice Shariah so they couldn't, what can these two do to make their relationship halal now that they have a child coming to the world?

We are presently reading it and it definitely talks about the adhaan brought on the people who defied and did not listen to Lut (AS). It seems like a conscious miss on Yaseen"s part and it makes me feel very uneasy.
