Sometimes, what you see as someone else being unfairly favored might actually be qadar at work in your favor. So beware of envy and defeat overtaking you, and make an effort to recognize the wisdoms in your life. Because when it comes to Allah's decree, it's not the most materially blessed or loudest mouth that gets far ahead, but the most grateful and perceptive heart.

I was sitting there alone in my room, crying. And listening to Nathaniel Drew’s “Feeling Behind in life” video. Because I was having a mental breakdown from thoughts of me not getting the position that I wanted, I wanted to go abroad and it was a dream of mine and I lost my chance almost getting there. I was crying and the video ended, KZbin automatically started this one. I was so desperate at that moment, losing my breath, and when ustad mentioned all of the problems in the beginning of the video, I felt so seen and heard. And ya rabbi, sometimes we do need to be reminded. It was so foolish of me to think that I lost my chance, because I did do my best, and I prayed so much too, but Allah didn’t want me to go abroad alone, maybe Allah saved me from something. I had thought of that but, hearing it from someone that knows what is hurting you, is so important it’s like you know the answer but you trust your teacher better than yourself. This video calmed my heart. I wasn’t feeling envy, but I was in a bad situation, blaming myself, you know.

@@89Salma89 Same! I found out 16 years later haha (well 16 years after the suffering intensified but it had actually been going on for longer). It’s not funny but sometimes I laugh out loud because who would want to do that to a young child and then watch them struggle as they grow up and smile in their face whilst celebrating their suffering. People are very strange! I hope you’re better now and that Allah has eased and resolved your affairs and granted you a righteous spouse. In my personal experience most people that are affected don’t actually know that they are affected and don’t even know what these things are or how they work or the ways in which they can affect our lives. Reflecting on my own experience and those around me, I had heard it mentioned so many times and I even knew from a young age that that person did it and people even said to me multiple times that it could be ayn etc and I even once had a reaction to ruqyah someone else was having but ignored it and ignored all of the above mentioned things because I didn’t know anything about it or understand it at all or even fully comprehend how real it is. Then when I finally came to understand that that was what was wrong with me and the cause of all my problems, I was so upset at myself for missing all the signs and for not listening when people mentioned sihr/ayn etc. That’s why I try to tell people now whenever I hear someone mention clear signs/symptoms. People are unfortunately not educated on this matter and unfortunately they often get dismissed when they try to get help. I’ve seen multiple examples of people writing in to scholars online with clear symptoms/signs of Sihr/ayn/mass and getting completely dismissed by the scholar or just given diagnoses/advice that fit with the seen world even when in some instances the person has suggested sihr/ayn as a possible cause. They often get told that people are paranoid about this issue and that it’s not common!!! (but au contraire, it’s very common). When I read those questions to scholars I get so upset because the person has clear symptoms/signs that I wish I could scream this to them through my phone screen, but they got completely dismissed. Only Raqis and those affected by it understand it. I wish there were more resources on this and I wish scholars were more educated on this so that the masses can be too. I would love a resource where people tell their stories and how they were cured/how long it took etc (as the journey can be super long and demoralising) and how Allah dealt with their oppressor. I would love a resource where scholars talk about how to deal with such evil people who not only afflict us for years and years in all aspects of our lives but who also keep renewing it and endlessly persecute us.

30 years of my life is just continuous unlucky event, that make me a cripple of social life, no academic background, no friend, no work, no money, nobody to support me. I ask myself, couldn't I become lucky in one aspect of my life? At one point, I dream about finding mountain of gold nuggets at a desert. And at that time I think that, " is this how life mocked me?" Like, how could it be possible that I would get this premonition of wealth out of nowhere? And do you know what Allah showed me afterewards? He guide me to learn how to witness the miracle of each words of the ayat of the Qur'an, that there is a massive secret on each of the words, that can invoke miraculuous phenomenon. And that's when I realize, that my luck is beyond of what all the gold in this world worth of.

Alhamdulillah... We see how some certain feelings that we experience, hardships that we go through they aren't meant to put us away from Allah SWT and deen. You know some people feel far away from deen when they go through something because they think that Islam wants you to have a perfect reaction and sabr and that they're doing wrong for feeling these. In fact Allah SWT knows and addresses them in the Qur'an or through our Prophet SAW. These times are exactly when you can get much more closer to your Rabb. Things feels unfair but you take a deep breath and remember to trust in Allah's plan. You make du'a for him. Allah doesn't leave you alone with your hardships

Very important lessons once again for us. I remember when I tried to get into med school for 2 years and was heart broken that I couldn’t. But Allah knew best what was better for me. Maybe I would have lost myself had I gone that route. And Allah swt saved me. It took me a long time to come to terms with it through Allah’s help.

💯 or maybe it’s not as great as you think or the pressure would have gotten to you or it would have interfered with your future family life or you would have met horrible people (seniors/bosses etc) who would have made your life hell and really tested your faith or maybe you would have gotten involved in the toxic backbiting and bullying that some work environments have or maybe you would have been so focused on your job and career that you would have neglected your deen. Or if Allah gave you excellence in it, perhaps you would have become arrogant. Or if it was well paying perhaps you would have gotten carried away chasing the money and forget the true source of happiness.

this entire series just made me lose all of my hope that I've been withholding along the roller coaster ride. Cause I've prayed so much to certain things for years and years. After all these videos I'm at this point where "whats the whole point?".Cause anyway only what Allah has decreed is going to happen. And I'm tired and literally at my lowest breaking so hard. These only make me want to give up thinking "It's just not for me". Pray for me guys. I've been getting suicidal thoughts recently. Its not like I'll ever go that way, I could be happy here so I at least don't want to rot in hell. So I'll never let that thought take over. It's just that it's to cope up. Please pray for me guys.
