Very nice breakdown of the Yaqi Katana, Jeremy. I really enjoy Crown blades, it was the Crown that made me realize I like Stainless Steel (non-coated) blades over their coated cousins, some of my best shaves ever. Love WSP, Blackbeard is my go-to scent from them!

Crown blades are not bad by any means, just not my favorite. Granted I have only used the saloon blades and not a full DE blade. Blackbeard is amazing! That’s my second favorite scent from WSP.

Nice feedback on the Katana! I am the same way with my favorite scent as well.

Katana 🥷 is one of my favourite Yaqi heads..I have several probably close to 10! 🤭🤣 I don't find it aggressive at all,.it just works really well for me. 😅 I did ask them to add the front posts and they said they have a mould like that, but I think it's for anther brand they make for! 😔🤭🤣 Their v1 katana is a bit milder and the head is a big bigger. I don't know if they will start selling them again! 😆💚

It’s a very comfortable shaver for sure. However, I won’t get one until the loading is easier with front posts or something.

@@TheTravelingShaver I have mentioned it a few times to them, but I don't think they have any plans in making it! Also I said they should make them in stainless steel, aluminium and brass like their prototype de head 😅💚 It's not that bad lining it up, you can hold the side bits of the blade and it helps it's stay in place! But posts will be nice 😆

Great review Jeremy, very informative as always!! 😌👏 It does look good but even with the price tag, the lack of front posts would bother me. I just know that if the design of the razor assists in aligning the blade correctly, I’m far more likely to use it. Have a great weekend my friend!!!

Many thanks mate. The lack of front posts is a deal breaker for me. I don’t want to fiddle with loading a blade for five minutes before I’m able to shave.

I found my blade pivoted on the center post and the blade exposure wasn't even. I undercut the center post with a Dremel and now the blade sits nicely on the two outer blade posts . It's a lot better now .But l still don't go heavy with it.

Nice review JT! So, you prefer the katana over the eco? I also thought the katana was an AC style razor. Glad I didn't pulled the trigger! Have a great week
@TheTravelingShaver3 жыл бұрын
I much prefer the way the Eco loads, but the Katana feels smoother. I am glad I was able to borrow this one as I would have been upset had i purchased one, just because of the way the blade is loaded.

There is a link to the brush maker, but he’s taking a break from making brushes at the moment. This specific brush was a one-off made from old scraps from other brushes.
