Being a CS student i can say ur lecture is gud except few points. As i know a company can't buy its own shares unless buyback is initiated. Hence, if a co. is not performing well, the invester will not be interested in buying its shares. So d invester already invested will get liquidity problem. Since its an order matching transaction, the shareholders will be forced to quote lower price(e.g., ₹50, originally purchased at₹100) in order to get his shares sold. If a buyer finds that buying at ₹50 makes a gud deel(hopping future appreciation) he'll quote d same price and order shall be matched and transaction gets completed. This is how the stock price comes down if a co. is nt doing well. Overall gud lecture for basic understanding.
