I had already been reel mowing for the past season, but thanks to your channel, I got the Sunjoe and modded it with no wheels. I love cutting at .6” and it feels great. I love the learning process this hobby has with what works and what doesn’t. The best part of my day is when I get to get out in the yard and spend time mowing.

My Front yard is EXTREMELY Slopped & w/my Heart condition, I’m unable to handle this, so I treat it & then hired a great yard man to take care of this. Now my backyard is about 1,600 sq ft & mostly level. This is where I get to play. So far, I just have cheap push manual reel mower but I’m enjoying the work. We moved from TX to AR about three months ago & we just got the last of the contractors out of the back yard…THERE is still tons of work to do in the fall & next Spring but your videos are very informative & inspirational , in addition, your attitude is AMAZING!

Comes with time look at me I just started KZbin 2 1/2 years ago and just now getting comfortable with measuring fert! Start with milorganite and ironite and water your lawn and cut every 2-3 days you’ll see a difference then level up from there 😊👊🏾🤙🏾🔥

Not that it's a bad thing, I'm just tired of having the same grass as everyone in my neighborhood. You asked about seed options. Have you considered Scott’s ProVista KBG? It is glyphosate tolerant so EASY EASY weed control. I personally don’t know anything about it but if didn’t live in the heat of Hell (San Antonio, TX) I would do this if I could maintain under an inch.

I am doing a full KBG reno in my front yard this season and want to reel mow but they seem very expensive and a ton of machine maintenance. What do you think? Sun joe is def a good starter reel mower! After training with the Sunjoe then getting a brand new Cali trimmer it felt amazing! That leveling up is the way to go… next for me will be toro greensmaster or John Deere level up from the Cali trimmer 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾

Great tips I really envy you I'd love to reel mow at least my front but too many chips stacked against me right now. Two young kids, I'm already in the doghouse w/ wife everytime I mow more than once a week, have primarily TTTF, and following a 100% natural program pesticide-free is most important to me I'm trying to master first which seems less possible if converted to low HOC KBG. Some day though..

Awesome content dude! I'm on the same path, leveling up little by little. gas to Ego mower, manual reel mowers and electric reel mower (Allett). It's fun to learn lawn care :) While you are cutting your grass short, do you set Ego's HOC at #1 with the striping kit? is ego easy to turn with it? I have the same striping kit and I haven't used it on Ego et. I tested on an old manual reel mower and it barely made clear stripes at 1 1/5" HOC.

Reel mowing looks amazing but man it’s not for the majority of people. You really need to have time cause you’re gonna be out there cutting grass every other day. And the spoon feeding. I spoon feed TTTF with KBg and it’s work. I have 3 kids, a wife, and a whole entire house to cater too. And then you have to make time for yourself to exercise. Being healthy is the most important thing one can do. Gotta take care of yourself to then be able to take care of anything else. But I understand we all don’t have the same responsibilities or priorities. After all, this is a lawn care enthusiast channel lol. Just putting my opinion out there.
