At the beginning of the video, the three pillars are idols of ancient pre-Christian gods believed in by Ukrainian ancestors. And through the whole video there is a thread of our historical wars from Kievan Rus to the present day. And symbolically, this spirit of war is transmitted to all of us through the umbilical cord of history and the spirit of the Ukrainian people. The words of the song and its visual are very symbolic and strong for us. And you also felt it, even without being Ukrainian 😉🤗

The middme totem is Thor, the head of viking and eastern goth gods. Ukrainian ancestors were vikings who mixes with scyths and Finno Ugri people. These tough people and warriors traveled up to Constantinople and were hired by emperor Constantinus to serve as Varangian guardsmen, which by terms of this time was equal to modern best Navy Seal, SAS etc warriors. These warriors saved Eastern-Roman emperors battles many times, axing through enemy lines until nothing was left. They loved freedom and Ukrainians still do. Fighting the evil dictator.

I am Ukrainian. I would like to become the heir of the Vikings, but unfortunately this is not the case. I respect Asatru. I love Norse mythology. If I had something to do with the Vikings, I would be happy. But, unfortunately, Ukrainians, even being pagans, did not believe in the Scandinavian gods. And I don’t see any similarity with the inhabitants of the northern countries. But I repeat - I respect the Vikings, the northerners. I love your myths, stories, folklore. I apologize, I don’t know where exactly you live, but I read different legends from different countries where the Assy definitely lived before) But it seems to me that, unfortunately, Ukraine was not included in this list.

After reading and understanding the free nature of Ukranian people, I understand too that they are warriors by blood lingeage, is interesting how their hole history is war for their own freedom from territory takers, opression, liers who took advantege from their needs but always in the end they free them selfs, this time, the world is by their side thats why Slava Ukraini, Heroyam Slava.

Ukrainian here to explain some shit: 1) there are raven (ua: kruk) on the altar (ua: vivtar) means in the same way clear mind before battle and warns death and in our mythology and our history all the glorious warriors weren't scared of ravens and it means that they weren't scared of death when simple people are a bit scared of ravens and death. 2) we also have in our mythology an Arey (also Ares, as he mentioned here) - god of wars and glorious battles (the same as in greek mythology, but ancient greece didn't have powerful influence on it). And Arey have his sword, made by Svarog, the god of fire and blacksmithing, which he used for helping to us in battles. So it's reference on it when he recieved a sword of fire - he took the sword of Arey 3) then is about Perun and a chainmail - Perun is a main god in Kyivan Rus before christening (like Zeus in ancient Greece). He is a defender of Kyivan Rus soldiers and knyaz. So it's like a guy from the song powered by Gods 4) Ivan Bohun - is a cossack commander in the time when Bohdan Khmelnytskyi made his uprising against Poland, but Bouhn also fought against russians and he was very good commander so that's why he mentioned as a father which brought up him. 5) wolves, oaks and malachites are symbols of power, wisdom and strenght in Ukrainian mythology Now you're fully in the context of this song and why the author told that this song is for battle and for fearless warriors who fight enemies if their land

Yarmak is one of those artists who are actually serving Ukraine at the battlefield as real soldiers. He said, the words for this song were written few hours before his time to set off to the frontline. So when you stopped the video to comment about "we all know who has come from swamps", it looks like you didn't really realized the part about "decapitated". He really killed ruschists. He is one of military heroes defending us. So this song is more than just a rhythm. It is a prayer. Prayer of a soldier to ancient powers protecting our land. Let the death avoid his path. Amen.

And about brlit - you are right😎. It is also our historical to identify them with swamps. As we say, when churches were already being built in Kyiv, frogs were still croaking in Moscow. Because they say that Kievan Rus is their kingdom. Although they were not around then.

It's about the unification with the ancestors, and anyone can relate to that not just the Ukrainians. The row of people at the end represent the protectors from different times, from round 1500 years ago till present. And the demons from the swamps - they are literal demons for us, but anyone has their own demons to fight with. Connections to the anscestots helps in this fight.

Yarmak write under video presentating: "These lines were written just a few days before going to war. It contains my entire inner state, and I want to convey this state to every brother. A great battle is ahead, after which not only our country, but also the whole world will change. This is a real war between the warriors of light and the forces of evil, the battle of angels against demons, people against the dead. Each of us must accept and walk this path. Today, the future of the planet is being created in Ukraine, and we must do everything in our power to defeat the horde of darkness. Perhaps this will give someone motivation, know that I will not only be by your side in song, but also physically at the front with my unit. Time to return yours! This is not a track, not a composition, not a song - this is a spell of immortality!" that verce really sounds as a spell

In this text, ancient Ukrainian words are used for stylistic purposes that are not commonly used in modern Ukrainian language. In this text, Yarmak addresses our ancient ancestors. Ukrainians adopted Christianity in the year 988 AD, before which our ancestors were pagans and worshipped very ancient GODS. The text lists their names mixed with the gods of the Vikings, referencing the origin of Kyiv and Kyivan Rus, founded by Scandinavian Vikings. The raven sits on the altar, the stormy moon shines I received from the gods a gift of an iron sword of fire Harness the horse, stars - my blanket Pray for us, my dear, it's time for us to set off Under the protection of the starry domes I pray to my ancestors to give me the power of my native land My mind - cold as Ares desired My body - an iron fruit of heavenly blacksmiths The demon froze, the enemy surrounds Because Perun himself weaved my chainmail Father Bohun didn't spare the ferocity for me And so, I've already cut off many heads of demons in the swamps And to prevent the wicked enemy from preparing for us I am the son of the elements, an immortal Brahman I am a wolf, I am an oak, I am an ancient malachite For where death confuses the fool, the warrior makes a transition Fate has hardened us forever But it is still early for us to go to Asgard Ba'al wanders through the earthly temple By the name of Light, by the name of my ancestors, open the gate Perun - the god of thunder, lightning, and the sky. Bohun - the god of war and defender. Ba'al - an ancient Eastern god associated with natural phenomena and fertility. Ares - the god of war in Greek mythology. Yarylo - the god of spring, sun, and fertility. Peresvit - the god of light, wisdom, and insight. Dazhboh - the god of the sun and growth, patron of agriculture. Khors - the god of fire, crafts, and war. Svarog - the god of the forge, craftsmanship, and creativity. Veles - the god of wisdom, magic, and the underworld. Stribog - the god of wind, speed, and movement. Mokosh - the goddess of feminine power, fertility, and family. These are just a few examples of gods from the ancient Ukrainian pantheon. Ukrainian mythology has a rich and diverse set of deities, each playing their role in the beliefs and rituals of our ancestors.

hello. I will try to tell the history of Ukraine! people live here who fought for freedom for 1000 years. a thousand !!! and not one nation could conquer us, the Russians could do it in the 20s of the 20th century .. for 70 damn years .but we gained independence in the 90s, without a war, when the end of the USSR came, AND HERE AGAIN - the Russian orc attacked us. we will die but we will not give up - we were ALWAYS free. so it will be, no matter what it costs us (characterist-warrior with paranormal abilities, hairstyle - sedentary. Zapopozhets-warrior beyond the rapids of the Dnieper (south-east of Ukraine)) people live here who have war in their genes.) thanks for the reaction. Glory to Ukraine!
