Gorgeous yarns. The colours just glow. And absolutely, we don't need to justify our hobby purchases!!

So glad you got to go to the yarn show. Love all of your purchases and you're right....we shouldn't have to justify our yarn purchases. So glad you are going to knit the Go Go Dynamo shawl. I think you will love it and your yarn is perfect. I just finished mine and it is blocking now. It is truly a show stopper...have fun with it!

Oh, Ruth. Lovely. I’ve never been to a yarn festival. I enjoyed listening to you. That hot chocolate wrap calls my name. Also, I love that you’re leaning toward plant/botanical dyed yarn. Just lovely. I live in Montana and enjoy your accent & colloquialisms, too

Loved this show episode! Thanks for sharing your true thoughts. My bestie and I recently went to a little event in Portland, Oregon and we attended lectures with Caitlin Hunter and Sari Nordlund. Such a treat to hear their journeys. Take away was ‘knit what you love’ which you do so well. Prayers for your healing.

Lovely to see all the yarn Ruth. Love the colours. Glad you had a good time despite the sore foot. I understand what you mean about a different perspective. Been there myself. Going to my first yarn show. Its at the Titanic quarter in Belfast. Its the first time they have come to N.Ireland. The girls from Cullybackey will be there so look forward to meeting them. Enjoy the knitting and look forward to the next podcast.🥰

Lovely to hear about the yarn show. I can fully understand the view of walking round and being so careful with your foot. My daughter is now disabled and she walks with a stick. She is very aware of hazards around and more so in small spaces. Love all your purchases. Just fabulous. No justification needed in what is bought. ❤

Enjoyed the yarn show with you! I am doing the last 50 odd I cord bind off stitches on the Section 10 Wavy border of the Go Go Dynamo shawl while watching your podcast. This is the first time I have finished one and with the expectation of the extra optional border I had it done in the four weeks. I have been showing my progress on Instagram. I’m knittingdragonlady. It has been so much fun to knit. I even liked the short row wedges. Great tip I got from Fairy Godfather Knits is to use one double pointed needle on the short row wedges. And I’m using it on the I cord bind off one the wavy border, also. I’m across the pond in the US and I checked out Birdstreet yarns this weekend and got the kit for the Jon Shawl. I’ll just put it under the tree for Christmas. That makes it easier on the hubby😂. I also was shopping at Botanical Yarns. From watching you, RowRow and Kades and Twinset & Purl I had to try out Birdstreet Yarns. I have already bought some Botanical Yarn after Kelly won an advent from them. I really can’t remember which I found first but I think it was Kelly and she recommended your podcast and you recommended Twinset & Purl. Your podcasts kept me sane and gave me great company while being the 24/7 caregiver for my mom the last 18 months of her life. When I moved back home after she passed I told my husband, get used to me watching my knitting podcasts. I have been watching all your past podcast going back I have the last 20 or so to go. They have been fun. I have seen some lovely knitting you have done. It’s such great inspiration! I love all the yarn goodness and all the chatter! 💗💗🧶🧶

Wonderful podcast, Ruth! My knees won’t allow me to get to shows these days so it was fun to go with you. I love the Re:Designed bag you bought and guess what? It’s the one I bought from Timeless in Devon just a few weeks ago! I learned some of what it must be like to have mobility issues when my daughter was a baby. I found doors that had to pushed open to be a real challenge when I was pushing her in front of me. I can't imagine how challenged a person in a wheelchair must be.

I think it’s terrible that the staff person did not know or inform people about a lift. People in wheelchairs, etc. cannot do the stairs. I am appalled! If you knew there was a lift you might have made your way to it. I think you should write a formal complaint. If enough people inform the organizers that it is unacceptable, perhaps they will make changes so handicapped people can have full access. My very dear friend was in a wheelchair and a fabulous knitter. She has passed away now but I went with her to many knitting shows and retreats. I am a nurse so had the knowledge to provide needed help. I miss her company so much; we had so much fun together. We even went to vogue knitting events in NYC in a train from Boston Massachusetts US. There were accommodations everywhere for her.
