Purchase the Yarn Braids DVD to prepare you for this advanced hairstyle!
Yarn Braids DVD goo.gl/ne3wBY
To follow this Yarn Locs Tutorial, you want to make sure that the yarn you purchase for your Yarn Wraps is 100% acrylic yarn because this is the only yarn that is safe for this Yarn Wrap Style. You can purchase your yarn in any color of choice if you want to have yarn locs with color or you can match the color of the yarn close to your natural hair color. Make sure that you have all of your hair supplies listed above to do this hairstyle on your own hair.
Breanna Rutter demonstrates yarn wraps on short hair with her natural 4c hair. When doing these yarn wraps on natural hair or any type of hair for that matter, make sure that you begin on clean moisturized hair to prevent any breakage or dryness during the duration of these faux locs with yarn. Braid individuals with pieces of yarn just past your real hair and then begin wrapping your yarn around your individual braids. Tie two knots at the end of your fake locs and trim each individual end of yarn with your scissors to avoid accidently cutting the knot on your yarn wraps.

I really like your method of measuring out the yarn a lot better than the tie-around-two-chair-legs method I usually see. Can you address 1) how long each phase (both braiding & wrapping) took to complete, and 2) about how many bundles of yarn you used in total? I **so** want to do these (wrapped with Marley hair instead of yarn) this weekend, but my hair is in dire need of a deep cut & I'm afraid I won't have enough left at the temples to grip. 😔

Thank you so much for this video! I can't wait to try it out. I have two questions though. Firstly, how many months do yarn wraps last? Secondly, if I keep it in for too long, might it form into a permanent dread? I'd hate for that to happen.
@kiki-drawer2669
@kiki-drawer2669 3 жыл бұрын
You probably already have the answer to this bit just in case other come across this comment, I'd assume you can keep these in for a month if really taken care of. I don't think they would ever form to dreads because you have them neatly braided to begin with. You would have to leave them in for like a year I would think

Breanna what protective styles can U suggest for thin edges, anything that won't pull tug or weight down my thin edges, if I can leave them out or alone would be even better, every style I think of, seems you have to make sure your edges lay flat or brush them daily so they can look slick and up kept

Thank you for this video. What do you think about cotton yarn that is more natural and happier on the hair moisture wise, like using a cotton tee to dry hair instead of a reg towel
@kamp7898
@kamp7898 4 жыл бұрын
K.O. S. -Yapah S. She mentioned that cotton yarn will become tangled with your hair and can become matted to the point where you may have to cut off your hair. That’s why she says to only use 100% acrylic yarn
