During covid I'd take videos for my then 89 year young mom. Surf report, lake report, squirrels, birds, osprey, trees and occasional baby, a special treat. It means so much to those who can't get out

Magpies, Corellas, and crows! I have an umbrella cockatoo rescue who lives with me. She is the sweetest bird, but can dig holes, too! I always tell people who want a parrot to keep in mind these birds belong in the wild. It is people who took them away from their home. So don't get mad when they eat your house! And not too many folks want to care for them either. But this girl has been wirh me for going on eight years. She might be 40 or more years old, but my neighbor found her back in 1988 and didn't know how old she was. She seems healthy and has all her feathers! I am very attached to her. She rules over my cat also. Cat runs away from her! Something about that unbrella crest makes her look bigger than she is I think! But I make sure she sleeps up high in her cage every night just to take no chances! No dogs here either! We did have an elderly husky a few years ago but he passed away. She feared him, but he just wanted my attention so I would tell him to please not come towards me when I was sitting with the bird. She was cowering behind my back and he just wanted food or to go for a walk. Well, thanks for sharing your bike ride! Have a wonderful day! I need to go get my coffee and figure out what seeds to plant for the garden. 😊

When I visited Australia I was smazed at how beautiful the birds were and there are very distinctive sounds. Now watching this, I am back remembering that short holuday with my aunt and uncle.

I love Autumn! Here in coastal Virginia, US, it is a beautiful spring and finally warming up a bit. I was blessed to visit Australia with my son back in 2005, traveled via train from Sydney to Perth on the Indian Pacific train, time in Sydney, Perth and Melbourne. Such a magical place, all of it. Thank you for taking us along on your lovely ride!

Brilliant to see bits of Australia. My Paternal grandmother was from Melbourne, married an Englishman who was a Provincial Commissioner in India. He died at the age of 34 and she was travelling back to Australia with her two daughters, when she stopped off at Mombasa, Kenya to see her brother, met my grandfather. They married and had my Father and Uncle. She died of Malaria is buried in Entebbe Uganda, about 1929. Love the sounds of Australia.

We are just now getting into nicer weather. No leaves on the trees yet, here. I’m in the path of totality for the eclipse and have my glasses but it’s Spring which means lots of thunderstorms. I'm also in the path of totality on the north shore of Lake Ontario in Canada. I always thought the shadow passing over the moon or sun was like cleaning a window that was coverd in dirt making for a clean start.

We had a crow that adopted us when I was a kid, we called him Fred, he would land on our shoulders and eat snacks from our hand. Your crows have an Australian accent. Wow, how wonderful! I am spending the Easter holidays in my cottage near Berlin. Northern hemisphere, spring! I feed and water the wildlife daily. seed, berries, nuts, veg and alfalfa pellets. Boy, can they chow down. They waste nothing so, I don't mind forking out the rising cost to cover it all. 🙏❤💫

Thank you for the lovely ride. Such a treat. I have osteoporosis and try to avoid falls so I don’t ride anymore and I miss it. I love birds also. We get mourning doves, hummingbirds and scrub jays in the yard. Around the area lots of wild turkeys, hawks and vultures. 🦃
