I know he hated Koichi Sugiyama's Bio Wars for turning his Godzilla theme into pop music, so I imagine my covers wouldn't exactly be his cup of tea, either. On the other hand, I like to think he would be happy to know that people are still so enthusiastic about his music after all this time.

Bourbon Rock Because Mr. Sugiyama POPULARIZED Mr. Ifukube’s Godzilla theme. Akira Ifukube was a CLASSICAL composer who probably wasn’t used to the new pop-like genre that came into existence right then. He also hated the theme used for Saradia, which he thought sounded more European than Middle Easter.
