for those who criticize the guy, his presentation is prefect, he looks relax, confident and moving slightly. plus not reading fully from the ppt and he is not looking at one place but time looks at the Powerpoint and time to audience. the only things I would have recommended is to change the mood a bit, smiling or adding some jokes, but not been serious all the presentation.

First, when you present a presentation, do not look at your powerpoint as if you're turning your back on your listeners. You can just take a quick glance on your laptop, and look straightly towards your audience. CONNECTION to your audience is a MUST! How would you convince them to pay attention to you when you the presenter yourself, can't give attention and focus to your AUDIENCE. Second, put limited keywords on your slides. You don't have to include every single word of your presentation as if you're going to read a script. It's good that the audience have something to learn on what you’re about to say, making them more interested to pay attention. Putting every word on your powerpoint has no sense of giving curiosity and suspense to your audience anymore. Third, do not READ each and every word shown on your presentation. This is really a BIG NO. YOU ARE PRESENTING, NOT READING! Your audience can READ. Do not RE-READ it for them. Just some tips for some people out here who wants to improve their skills on presenting a presentation. Thanks!

in academic conferences you're given 15 minutes only to present your paper. that's such a short time if the paper is a work of a thesis or dissertation.
