Jealousy is one of the main propeller of these criticisms… I listened to almost all the lectures of the sheikh and I have nothing but clear understanding of the message he tried to convey.. With utmost respect. Those who are attacking Shaykh Yasir are mainly from the najd or Wahabi movement. This narrow minded group have hijacked our faith. They created mischief. May Allah guide them. We need more scholars to talk about the danger of this movement. More people need to speak about this minority. They have done a lot of damage. I'm a convert/revert to Islam from a Christian background. When I first came across Dr Yasir Qadhi, I was really skeptical (my instinct is to always doubt until proven otherwise). I watched a couple of lectures (and looked up his education) and was amazed at how clear-cut to the point and educational he is. He has since become my "go-to" scholar. I've learned immensely from him and can't thank God enough for letting me randomly find one of his lectures on KZbin. I have heard a couple of criticisms from people and I've noticed either someone I think is on the liberal side and the others I think were stuck with their own upbringings without being open-minded to different schools of thought and opinions and weren't happy to have their ideas challenged

My dear YQ, know that Allah has guided so many people through your work. I was introduced to your lectures by one of my siblings in 2012 who was the only one practicing the deen the way we all do now. From then to now, I cannot count my family members and friends who have been addicted to listening to your lectures and understanding the deen, loving Allah and His messengers and the transformation Allah has brought to our hearts through you over the years. I always make dua for you and your family for both worlds and that Allah will reunite us with His rasool. I will make dua for you again on this blessed day of Arafah. Know that you have impacted knowledge and changed lives in places very far away from your country, in the poorest countries of the world. You are my company when I'm doing chores or when I'm physically occupied with other things and don't want to waste time not learning from you. I love listening to YQ. I am attracted to his academic, thorough and comprehensive approach to subjects, which proves to me that he knows what he is talking about. I have learned much from listening to his lectures and QnA over the years. My understanding of seerah, Islamic history, aqeedah and fiqh has matured greatly as a direct result. There are many people of knowledge whom I respect, but my heart is most at ease with Shaykh Yasir Qadi. Btw, I'm still waiting on the continuation of the Prophets series.

For the brother who holds a burning grudge against you: "If you stretch your hand towards me to kill me, I am not going to stretch my hand towards you to kill you. Indeed, I fear Allah, the Lord of the worlds." (Surah Al Maida verse 28) For the brother who hates you due to ignorance: "O Allah, forgive my people for they don't know any better." (The Prophet Muhammad (saw) in Uhud) For the brother you have wronged: "By Allah! Allah has truly preferred you over us, and we have surely been of the wrongdoers.” (Surah Yusuf verse 91) For the brother who seeks your forgiveness: "There is no blame on you today. May Allah forgive you! He is the Most Merciful of the merciful!" (Surah Yusuf verse 92) For the brother you just had an argument with: “O Abu Musa, can we not continue to be brothers, even if we disagree on an issue?” (Ash Shafi (ra) to Yunus As-Sadafi (ra) Our hope on the day of judgment with our brothers: "And We will remove whatever is in their breasts of resentment, [so they will be] brothers, on thrones facing each other." (Surah Al-Hijr verse 47) At any point in time, we fit in one of the categories above. Try to exemplify it accordingly, then ask Allah to make you of that last group for eternity. - "omar Suleiman"
