imchris5000 I think they needed a demo where a person would randomize the stacking, to demonstrate the adaptive capabilities of the robot. In application they'll probably have the robot stack the boxes to be palletized for shipping.

presumably it knows the boxes are no higher than a certain height...?

There is double laser barrier over the conveyor - it knows when bottom of the box is at certain height

looks like it grabs the boxes by a sucking air in and it pauses breifly to let the air out

This MH80 model has a max payload of 80KG (including weight of gripper). Our highest payload robot is the MH900 - 900 kg!

Actually that is incorrect, and sadly you are not alone in this false perception. In reality, robots will allow the person who was doing this tedious and repetitive job to be better utilized in a more productive role. For example, the person can now be trained as a robotic mechanic who would then service and maintain not only this robot, but the other robots in the facility.
