I have always loved Maxie and Spinelli but there was a certain kind of growth that Maxie got with Nathan I really loved them and was sad to see Nathan die

Peter played a huge part in his death, yes. They already revealed his part in it and Maxie forgave him for it shortly after James' birth. It's what Peter did after.

Maxie has always always been so nasty to Spinelli. I get that her husband died, but that doesn’t excuse her behavior. Ugh! And how was spending time with her daughter a waste of time!
