I don't actually agree with this. There are many players that worked much harder than these guys and didn't even make it to the NFL. You think Randy Moss and Deion Sanders were just staying home working on their abilities rather than going out and having fun? The true hardest workers in NFL history didn't make this list (ie players like Jerry Rice, who was the greatest of all time at his position despite not being as physically gifted as players on this list: Megatron and Moss).

Rice was crazy but go look up Paytons daily workout routune.

Calvin Johnson is still the biggest athletic freak to me. Talk about having the perfect mixture of strength, size, speed, and quickness. There was nobody in history better molded for the NFL. Even a modern equivalent like DK Metcalf, while he has the size and speed, didn’t have the jumping or receiving ability that Megatron had.

@@lt.spears1889 did you not see Wilt Chamberlain? Or even Herschel Walker? Not to take away from Bo Jackson. But with Wilt you have a 7 footer with actual recorded times that were on Olympic levels. Running, shot put, multiple jumping events all at elite levels. Again at 7 foot and he is in multiple sports hall of fame. Bo was not gonna make either sports hall of fame even if he didn't get injured. A pro bowler who didn't break 1k yards not to mention his ability to strick out. He made great highlights, and his Outfield throw to home plate for that out is still one of the best I've seen.

Jim Thorpe is Native American, and his birth name is Wa-Tho-Huk. I guess someone like me, seeing, knowing of and being part Native American, (Cherokee and Choctaw) African American, and European American, helps many of us know he is just by looking. Some people of color say "We can recognize our own", and in my personal experience, it's pretty accurate. Someone may look white to many, but to many others, facial features, undertones of skin color, and hair texture can be quite noticeable and tell that a person is "of color".

Just to clarify, quarterbacks don't necessarily have to be tall/big. The passing yards leader all time is Drew Brees who is 5'10" which is considered short for a quarterback. The Arizona Cardinals QB is Kyler Murray who is 5"9' and he's a top half QB when not injured. Some QBs like Michael Vick and Lamar Jackson are genetic freaks who play a totally different game than others at the same position. However, QBs often aren't the "best athlete" on their team, it's just the most "specialized" position in that you have to have a specific skillset.

Facts, Polamalu was absurdly athletic.
