Bo Jackson is basically mythological. Like if you weren't around to witness how ridiculously great he was you just won't be able to understand it. He's like the guy that you can make almost any claim and whether it was true or not, you'd have to believe it because you know it's possible. That's the basis of the whole "Bo Knows" campaign. He could do anything. Bo know football. Bo knows baseball. Bo knows... Basically anything.

You think Randy Moss and Deion Sanders were just staying home working on their abilities rather than going out and having fun? Jim Thorpe is Native American, and his birth name is Wa-Tho-Huk. I guess someone like me, seeing, knowing of and being part Native American, (Cherokee and Choctaw) African American, and European American, helps many of us know he is just by looking. Some people of color say "We can recognize our own", and in my personal experience, it's pretty accurate. Someone may look white to many, but to many others, facial features, undertones of skin color, and hair texture can be quite noticeable and tell that a person is "of color".

Just to clarify, quarterbacks don't necessarily have to be tall/big. The passing yards leader all time is Drew Brees who is 5'10" which is considered short for a quarterback. The Arizona Cardinals QB is Kyler Murray who is 5"9' and he's a top half QB when not injured. Some QBs like Michael Vick and Lamar Jackson are genetic freaks who play a totally different game than others at the same position. However, QBs often aren't the "best athlete" on their team, it's just the most "specialized" position in that you have to have a specific skillset.
@dicktrickle741

Maybe its possible Drew Brees actual flat footed height might be like 5'10 7/8" or something. But he was always listed as 6 foot, so for you to just go rogue and come up with your own height for him is like WTF?

I think it was lost on you that Jim Thorpe was native American not white. That actually makes his accomplishments even more remarkable when considering the lack of resources and assistance any native American would have trying to succeed in the athletic world. And he had success in virtually every athletic endeavor he attempted. Truly incredible. 🏹

I have enjoyed your channel. I love your honesty! You guys are proud of your country just as Americans are. The feeling of that our governments no longer represents what are expectations are as citizens are mutual with any free living country! However, I am living the American life and despite the media manipulation, my family, friends and tribe are still happy and are living the lives we earned and enjoyed. You Guys would assimilate easy to American lifestyle. First have a community…. Networking, helping. … we are team players. You have my back I will have your back! Be an individual without breaking the law but don’t be bullied or fucked with! It a tough country with tough, ambitious, and the most giving/ kind people you will ever meet.

Vernon Davis never cared much about football. he was just natural gifted as an athlete. I remember he skipped training to get his interior decoration license.

On offense, Skoal Brutha himself, Earl Campbell was feared by all defensive players. He didn't bother to run around a tackler. Rather, Earl just ran over them. On defense, two words and enough is said, Lawrence Taylor. LT caused all offensive coordinators to come up with a different game plan. Just ask Joe Theismann.

I believe it was Jim Thorpe that won that gold at the olympics with .... no shoes?, borrowed shoes? anybody remember?
@ericcouch

you're thinking of bullet bob hayes, who set a world record in the 100 in borrowed shoes. this list failed to recognize his athleticism by omission. He was the fastest man in the world by a long shot and played in the NFL for several successful seasons. His world record in the 100 stood for 15 years.

Rob Gronkowski, Troy Polamalu. Just a few names that popped into my head who could have made the list.
@gladius1275
@gladius1275 4 ай бұрын
Facts, Polamalu was absurdly athletic. You know you have a freak when the opposing offense has to be worried about ands game plan for what you bring. 4.3 speed, hit like a linebacker, has hands like a wide receiver, and the best pure football instincts I’ve ever seen. Extremely difficult to game plan against Troy because he was so intellectual and instinctual.

Kind of surprised to not see Lawrence Taylor on this list. Seems like a super obvious selection, as he is one of very few players that other players were actually terrified of (especially quarterbacks). Maybe it is because, aside from his physicality, cocaine/crack was his super power. Either way, dude was an absolute terror.
