How I Paint Landscape Just By 4 Colors Oil Painting Landscape Step By Step 51 By Yasser Fayad
Apparently, we only use the three primary colors (blue, yellow, and red) in addition to white, which is a neutral color, but we give them four colors metaphorically so that the novice trainees can understand the matter.
But in fact, you can create an infinite number of colors by mixing these three colors together and obtaining beautiful oil paintings
Primary colors are the basic colors that cannot be created by mixing other colors. In art, the primary colors are red, blue, and yellow. These colors are important in oil painting because they can be mixed to create all other colors on the color wheel.
Oil paints are a popular medium for artists because they offer a wide range of colors, are easy to blend, and have a long drying time, which allows for more flexibility in the painting process. When it comes to oil paints, there are many brands and types of paint available, each with their own unique characteristics.
White and black are important colors in oil painting, as they are used to adjust the value and tone of other colors. White oil paint is often used to create tints, which are lighter versions of a color. For example, mixing white with blue will create a lighter blue color. White can also be used to lighten other colors without significantly changing their hue.
Black oil paint, on the other hand, is often used to create shades, which are darker versions of a color. For example, mixing black with blue will create a darker blue color. Black can also be used to darken other colors without significantly changing their hue.
It's important to note that not all white and black oil paints are created equal. There are many different types of white and black pigments, each with their own unique properties. For example, titanium white is a popular white pigment that is very opaque and has a high tinting strength, while zinc white is a more transparent white pigment that is often used in glazes. Similarly, ivory black is a popular black pigment that is very opaque and has a high tinting strength, while lamp black is a more transparent black pigment that is often used in underpainting.
When selecting white and black oil colors, it's important to consider the pigment properties and choose colors that are compatible with the other colors you are using. It's also a good idea to experiment with different types of white and black pigments to find the ones that work best for your particular painting style and techniques.
It's worth noting that some artists prefer not to use black paint in their oil paintings and instead create shades by mixing complementary colors together. Complementary colors are colors that are opposite each other on the color wheel, such as red and green, blue and orange, or yellow and purple. Mixing these colors together can create a darker hue without the use of black paint.
In addition to white and black, oil paints also come in a range of other colors, including earth tones, greens, blues, reds, and yellows, among others. Many artists also mix their own colors to create custom shades and hues.

👋Greetings, dear Yasser. I was trying to find a fitting prelude to this great and heartwarming symphony but simple words weren't enough again. It is impossible to say which is the most beautiful of your works, every time I think: wow ! Of course you can like one motif better than the other, but in the end they are all beautifully and masterfully implemented. - I somehow ended up in this beautiful rural region and stopped spellbound to enjoy and admire this magnificent sight. Out here the world still seems fine. One feels comfortable, no superfluous noise and no busy city life distract from why one has settled here. In the distance we can see a chain of hills as if through fog. It still seems early in the morning, the sun has already crawled out of its bed, but has not quite managed to dispel the haze rising from the lake. Maybe it's still a little tired, I think I hear her yawn softly, but it will still do its duty, I'm quite sure. Below the certainly wooded hills, I think I spot a small settlement. You can just faintly make out the dark roofs and light outer walls of small houses. The lake is possibly fed or formed by the tributaries of small streams that collect here, I can't really see that from where I'm standing, especially since my view is obstructed by a row of most gorgeous deciduous trees, that surround the body of water on its banks and also lead a wonderful existence on some small promontories or islets. What else happens there is left to the imagination of each individual. Nearly in the middle of my field of vision, in one of the focus points, rises a widely branched tree with its sprawling, richly leafy green canopy, which bathes in the sun's rays from the left side and whose green therefore appears bright and luminous as a result. A smaller tree, which seems to be covered with pink and white flowers, cuddles up to the soft body of the larger one and is protected from wind and weather by it, since the branches of the larger and stiffer tree are more likely to break than those of the smaller and more flexible one. It still has to grow a little so that it can one day take over this task of protecting the smaller plants from harm. I now turn my gaze to the left side of the picture offered to me and admire another, but slimmer and more colorful green deciduous tree, tall and straight erect stretching towards the sky. It grows directly on the wall of the house facing away from me and certainly provides a lot of cooling and soothing shade on the sunny days. Below its lowest branches, the occupants of the house built here seem to have created a small terrace where it is certainly comfortable to endure the hottest days of the year. The cottage is of a lovely appearance, is brightly painted and wears an angled roof as if there were two separate buildings built together. (Sorry, I'm not nearly an architect) The roof is possibly covered with reed and carries a nice chimney that is tapered at the top. (--> part 2)

Part 2: I don't see a second one, perhaps the dwelling is at the back and fired up in winter, while the front has storerooms whose contents like it cooler. There is a large window with a white frame and a gray shutter on the gable end at the rear part on the ground floor of the house which is open to the right. My eyes touch a narrow projecting edge, move further along a windowless wall and finally around the next corner to the front of the building, where they detect the entrance door and, to the right of it, a window that is spanned by a canopy. Above it I discover another smaller window on the first floor, behind it there is possibly an attic which could hide all sorts of stowed things and maybe a few secrets, who knows. All sorts of green and blooming vegetation also surrounds the building on the left side down to a narrow tributary of the lake. There in the shade lie some large boulders, similar to those that also rest to the right in front of a relatively new-looking bridge spanning the water, built of rough broken stone. Low bushes, blooming grasses and flowers have clung to the rocks, the ground and wherever there is even the slightest chance of survival. The bridge, which appears extremely stable and is pretty to look at, leads from the right-hand site to the house, beyond the bridge an orange-coloured deciduous tree glows in the morning sun, at the foot of which a low fence or wooden bench has been erected, a comfortable place to relax. My gaze now wanders and finally lingers on the female figure who has arrived roughly in the middle of the stone bridge and seems to be holding a baby in her left arm, while the right one is holding up a white cloth and waving it back and forth. Her gaze is turned to the lake where, almost on shore below the village, there is a tiny boat on the gently swaying surface of the water, possibly in which her male complement is sitting, going on an early morning fishing trip. But maybe he will paddle towards the village to do some shopping there or he's already on his way back. I can only speculate on that, because during these three hours of staying in this beautiful landscape, the sun didn't manage to dissolve all the fog on the water. - This painting is another jewel in your collection, as always you have surpassed yourself in the selection of the motif, implemented and described it meticulously and - in my eyes - opted for more warm and gentle than cool tones, appropriate to the subject. I think it's beautiful, it's excellent work and a more than successful composition, a symphony, as I mentioned. Thank you, dear Yasser, I spent a wonderful afternoon. God bless and protect you always. Have a good night, dear.🥰💖

I often paint wet on wet, but sometimes, due to circumstances beyond my control, the painting dries up, so I paint it with a mixture of oil and turpentine, then dry it with a piece of clean cloth, then start putting the final touches. 🌹
