The song serves as a response to Light of the World's 1980 hit "London Town," sharing similar musical elements. Produced by Augie Johnson, who also worked on the original "London Town," "L.A. Nights" features a laid-back groove with a killer bassline, cool vibes, and tight percussion. Agawa's ethereal vocals add a unique touch to the track.
