Yasur Volcano Lava Explosions insanely close - Dec 2023

We spent five days positioned on top of Mount Yasur Volcano in Vanuatu to observe, study and capture the eruptions like never before. Mount Yasur Volcano is a stratovolcano located on the Island of Tanna. It is one of the most active volcanoes on the planet, erupting strombolian type eruptions. These eruptions are the result of gas slugs - gas bubbles that form deep within the conduit of the volcano.
