The word Nadi is usually written as it is but it is pronounced as Nandi according to the native Fijian language. There are many other places in Fiji which has the 'n' pronunciation but there is no letter 'n' in the actual word. In most native Fijian words, like people's names and places, there has to be an 'n' pronunciation before the letter 'd' or an 'm' pronunciation before the letter 'b'. For example, Nadi pronounced as Nandi, Deuba pronounced as Deumba, Nadarivatu as Nandarivatu, Vanua Balavu as Vanua mbalavu, etc. Some letters have different pronunciations as well such as the letter c is pronounced as 'tha', and letters g and q as 'ng'.

Bro most Fiji Indian's can understand Proper Hindi perfectly and many can also talk like you people but they speak Fiji Hindi coz they are used to that . The Radio Stations are all Proper Hindi, Schools also teach proper Hindi , Bollywood movies , Holy Books etc... Most of them can also Read Sanskrit too . I'm from the Fiji Islands ✌️
