Back in those days, my older brother had a sub to Nintendo Power.... and he DID get this very VHS tape in the mail in 1997! I just remember feeling so confused with the Sega guy and the Sony guy, at the time I was pretty young, and I was aware of the Super NES, the Sega Genesis, and the Nintendo 64. I'd never heard of the Sega Saturn OR the Sony Playstation lol. And to this day, the PS1 remains my favorite old video game console! I do still have and love the Super NES and Nintendo 64, and my Sega Genesis (as well as all of the games I used to have for all four, AND the ones I've since collected over the years). He also had gotten the Diddy Kong Racing VHS promo as well :)

This is my personal favorite of any video that I got through Nintendo Power. I do believe between the Diddy Kong Racing one and Hot Newz 64 one that there was a pokemon one that got shipped out, although it was less about the video game and more about introducing the Anime, the TCG, and other such merch.

8:15 Ha, I never saw any of the early GoldenEye 007 demo footage with the other Bond actors until now. Dr. David Doak mentioned that the dev team were told to remove the other Bonds for multiplayer before release...but he did manage to sneak his own likeness in the game!
@IsmailofeRegime
@IsmailofeRegime 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, GoldenEye apparently wasn't expected to be a gigantic success nor its multiplayer such a big deal, ergo no one had bothered to secure the rights for using the likenesses of the other Bonds. So when the game was nearing the release date, the devs had no choice but to remove them.
