Personally, I hope Jay is alright. Seems like he’s got a lot of pain too. He had the same reaction to this song that I had. Which wasn’t even awe at the music, musicality or anything. It was just straight up lyrics. When you struggle, and you’re trying to avoid feeling just to survive the next day, then this pops up, it’s hits you differently than if you’re in it all the time.

I got out of the Post-Hardcore emo shit in like 2011 when I got too busy for the sad boi type of stuff, that and I always preferred the harder stuff like Slaughter to Prevail (check out Viking or Baba Yaga if you haven’t). Something drew me into this though and it really opened that door up which I’d shut just to survive and man, it’s been a flood. I recognized that same look. It’s a look of avoidance, and then resignation, and then recognition. Hang in there bud. We only get one shot at this. Make it count.

Tell you a quick story my guy, my whole dream was to play warped tour, I went from nothing to having everything I ever wanted. Then I moved to Vegas and was living with Ronnie. My dude was railing 30 oxies a day, carrying his cloths in a garbage bag. We were staying in the dudes house that actually pulled the trigger on the dude in the desert if you heard why he went to prison. I’m incredibly proud of Ronnie and honestly just happy we are both still alive after the shit we’ve been though. We are extremely proud of all his success, you have to understand we were all addicts, so to see how far he has come with his music is nothing short of incredible considering the desert from which we both came
