Idk, but I guess I can say what I think lol. I’ll use he/him for the curly haired character and she/her for the long haired one just to make it easier to understand. it seemed like she is his parent or guardian, but when he was small some sort of military came in and killed everyone around him, and then stole him and put him into some sort of military school. Maybe because he can do magic or is useful to the military in some way? It seems they both met up later but he didn’t recognize her and got angry with her claiming to know him, possibly he was told some sort of story to either paint her as the bad guy or not include her at all and is to young to remember her. She isn’t going to give up however, and is going to try to get him back. He still seems pretty young, and the faceless figure flying with him might be acting as a parental figure since he found that person comforting and was vulnerable with them. Very neat story lol/gen

@@Wwhdduendjdhhfmwosdn thanks for this but one thing I would change is I don't the the faceless dude is here father figure but a crush / love interest. The kid seemed very bushy with him and they seem to be around the same age, he were even doing the same activity as him. Different then the adults it seems. But even if that wasn't the case I'd still say love interest.
