Answers to some things in this episode that aren't spoilers for future episodes. Zestial, the spider guy, is not a ruler of another ring. He's an Overlord like everyone else at that meeting, though you probably already knew that. Overlords are extremely powerful sinners who either appeared in hell powerful or gained power slowly. They all own the souls of many many other sinners through deals. Sinners cannot actually have children in once they die, Carmilla's daughters were either her children that died with her, or sinners she adopted after dying. Only hellborn/non-mortal souls like Charlie, her family, and the characters/species from Helluva Boss are able to reproduce. Also the dinosaur lady is named Missi Zilla or Zeezee.

Velvette was trying to provoke infighting and doubt amongst the other Overlords by revealing the beheaded angel (so her, Vox and Valentino could be the only Overlords in power if the rest of the Overlords did march up and strike a rebellion and got killed). Zestial, being the eldest amongst the Overlords, was able to - briefly - put a wrench in Velvette's schemes by pointing out how foolish it would be for them to start a war with Heaven without knowing what really happened with the angel. But when Velvette saw how Carmilla was looking away, she quickly made a move to provoke her by taunting Zestial, Carmilla's friend. When Carmilla took the bait, Velvette confronted her with her suspicions about Carmilla causing the angel's death. With all that attention on her, all Carmilla could do was abruptly end the meeting. Now, whether or not this later causes doubts amongst the other Overlords? Hopefully, we see how this will affect the plot later on.

I'm not sure, but I kinda feel like the Egg Bois are just artificially created minions that get spit out of a machine that Sir Pentious created, and he just churns out a new batch of them when he needs more. They seem pretty expendable. As to the Xs on/in the eyes, several of the creatures in Hell have ocular Xs (Cherri Bomb, for example). It's a common design convention for Viv's characters; whether or not that has any significance may be something discussed in later episodes (along with other shared traits we sometimes see, such as golden teeth, sigil tattoos, etc.). Camilla is an arms dealer, but just like many such people on Earth, she is more than happy providing arms to others to fight their silly little turf wars, but she doesn't want that bloodshed crashing through her front doors endangering herself and those she cares about.

We don't know where he was for thost 7 years, because Lucifer keeps all the sinner's in the pride ring, Pentagram city where this takes place, but the hellborn like imps, succubi, ect can traverse the other rings. Alister's a sinner so he can't really leave this level of hell. So it does raise questions, especially when you remember he's been gone for seven years, and in episode one they established that Lilith has been "gone" from Charlie's life for the last seven years. And the pilot's semi cannon state brings up questions since she was calling her mom for help and then Alister knocked on her door barely a few minutes later.

Hello! The main thing Carmilla is concerned about in this episode isn't avoiding war in Hell...it's avoiding war with Heaven. Carmilla is an apex predator among the Overlords and she understands her own world perfectly. But part of her line of work is she knows that war with Heaven is more extreme than Overlord turf wars. It could cost her EVERYTHING she cares about because the stakes are so much higher. So, she killed the Exorcist Angel to protect her daughters on Extermination Day, but if anyone knew about it the punishment from Heaven would be extreme beyond reckoning. Not only that, but she knows if Sinners rose up en masse, nothing would keep the Angels from utterly annihilating Hell and salting the proverbial ashes.

Carmilla even mentions how the Vs seem to be too smug. Yes the Vs combined make up the power of a overlord and they are rising in popularity meaning they are getting more souls. And that means their power is rising at a extremely fast rate. But it's made them cocky. Velvette is confident that she can take on the old overlords because of how many souls her and the other Vs rake in in souls. If they end up getting more sinner souls than most of the overlords then it doesnt matter if they look strong they will be. But she wasn't challenging anyone she was trying to raise up stress levels and see how they'd react. I'm guessing the meeting is a sort of "safe zone" where everyone can voice their opinions without the idea that someone will flip out and kill the others.

Vox alone is about as strong as Alastor(hence why he almost got beat by Alastor- or put in other words, beat Alastor just barely) who is likely to be in the top rung of overlords. Valentino and Velvette are unlikely to be weaklings either, no reason for them to be Overlords rather than just henchmen for Vox if they were. *"and they are rising in popularity meaning they are getting more souls. At around 10:30 that is actually a big theory that if a characters eyes are primarily black their soul is owned by someone else, and if their eyes are red they own another person's soul, and anything else is neither. For example angel is only owned when he is working, so he is half owned, and husk is completely owned by alastor. There are a few exceptions like nifty but that is mostly true

The fact that you kept bringing up Velvette’s disrespect for the other overlords less than a minute before the song literally titled “Respectless” starts 😆 Not sure if it’s still up, but there was art on Viv’s Insta dating back to 2013 (so while these characters were still in development so this also might have changed) where Angel tells his brother that his eye “kinda looks like the shiner you gave me before I died”. So for Angel specifically, his one black eye might simply be from his brother punching him in the face shortly before his overdose in life. Sinners in general tend to have wild designs, I wouldn’t put much speculation into their eye colors.

I don't often see this in other reactions but I laughed when Charlie was like "a liiiiiiitle tension" just like you did because, it's not a joke per say but it is very cute and ironic that Charlie's way of de-emphasizing the problem is to make a BIG and long drawn out gesture. So they never really explain this in the show, so I'm gonna just tell you: Everyone at the meeting was an overlord, powerful demons that make deals and own the soul of many others. They are very dangerous and powerful in comparison to regular demons. Zestial (the creepy spider cloak guy who was talking to Alastor and Carmilla) is the oldest overlord, which is why Alastor called him ancient. In contrast, the Vs (Vox, Valentino, and Velvett) are the youngest/newest overlords. So you're correct, Velvett was talking shit when she said, "I could eat you all for breakfast," but wouldn't be able to back it up at all because the others are all overlords too, and MUCH older than her.

So non spoiler as much as i can, Camilla killed the angel that Adam saw in the first episode which already had its head missing, so the V's had gotten ahold of its head by then and decided 1 dead angel after literally tens of thousands of years of believing they couldnt be hurt was immediately enough evidence to try and make a move against heaven. Its the reason Zestial was so cautious about not rushing into a war, and why Camilla got so upset over it was that generally the majority of Hell would probably agree with the V's about uprising, which would mean a near total extermination of Sinners in Hell, including her daughters.

The old spider demon's name is "Zestial", Like you know a zesty celestial or something like that, He's a ANCIENT demon who arrived in hell during the Shakespearean era, that's why he speaks in old English, and basically in hell The more soul you own the stronger you are, and if you have been living in hell for longer then you'll own more souls, When as compared to Valentino, Vox and velvet Who are quite modern and recently showed up in hell, have morden tech, like TVs modern cameras, AND PHONES, And the other over lords are mostly weaker than alastor, but alastor himself is quite weak compared to Zestial......but we haven't been informed about Zestial's powers, we speculate it is Manifestation or creation, but that wouldn't be that strong of a power, Still theorizing....

I think Carmilla was okay to create weapons IF its only for demons to be used for other demons because it wouldn't brought much danger to her people. In this situation, she has some control over the situation like, demons wouldn't dare to make an enemy that can decide if you can get or not the weapons you needed. Fighting her would also mean that, not only you will be cut off from weapons resources, but also facing the weapons she have in stock. Moreover, from what I've noticed, those who buy weapons from her tend to be on lower hierarchy (since they are the ones that needed more firepower than the ones in higher hierarchy). She could probably beat them up by herself if they ever tried anything. If a demon declared war against them and if it's something that can actually give Carmilla a serious threat, then she could still send her people away safely because it's not like all place in the Pride Ring can be a warzone between her and her enemy. Some of them are territories to other Overlords too so she could either send her people to the territory of one of her allies or any Overlords that wouldn't care about them walking around as long as they don't cause any trouble. Now if it's war against Heaven, then it's a different story for her. -Heaven would have its own weapons supplier so they don't have the problem of getting cut of from their weapons. -Sinners are already struggling against Exorcist Angels so who's to say that Heaven wouldn't send more powerful Angels if a full out war between Heaven and Hell happen. Moreover, there's also the fact tgat the extermination only affects Sinners and thus they are the only ones that have motive to start a war against, making a little uncertainty if the war would even include hellborns or demonic royalties so that they could at least have a chance to get help from them to balance their odds against Heaven if they ever did decide to send their powerhouse. -There will be no safe place in the Pride Ring if war broke up. Everything will be a warzone. Basically, a war against Heaven is something she doesn't have any control over to make sure that her people are safe because the war between Heaven and Hell would be a much larger scale than the wars that happen in Hell. Carmilla just really knows her business limit, target and goals 😂.

Everyone at the meeting is an Overlord, just like Alastor, so no, Zestial doesn't rule another ring of Hell (Sinner's can't even leave the Pride ring), though he probably does have a territory he rules over somewhere in Pentagram City (as most of the Overlords, if not all but Alastor, seem to have some kind of territory in the city; though I suppose you could count the Hotel as Alastor's territory?) fun fact: Zestial is the oldest Overlord while Velvette is the youngest one Also, Carmilla's daughters weren't born in Hell as far as we know (they are definitely not Hellborn like Charlie, or else Carmilla wouldn't have needed to protect them from the Angel as Lute mentioned in episode 1 that Lucifer got Hellborn Demons a pardon from the Exorcists), they were her daughters on Earth and simply ended up in Hell alongside their mother I feel like Carmilla being a weapons dealer is actually one of her tactics to keep her family save, because who would dare try to attack the person who's supplying you with your weapons? For one you always know that she has more weapons to spare to fight back with than she's given you, you can be sure that she's prepared because she knows what weapons she's sold you and if you did manage to take her down somehow then who's going to provide you with weapons now? Most demons would be stupid to try and go against her so the only real danger to her and her family are the Exorcist Angels, hence why she doesn't want to draw their attention to her after killing the one angel in self defense (and had she taken the body with her to try and get rid of it somehow she would've only risked being seen with it and having people figure out that it was her who killed it much quicker so I get why she just left it)

I think the egg bois are some kind of golems or humunculi that Sir Pentious created using his powers, kind of similar to how Alastor can summon up those demon familiars to do things like maintain the hotel or attack his enemies. Of course Pentious is nowhere NEAR as powerful as Alastor so of course his eggs are nowhere near the level of his demon minions

34:00 My take on Carmilla Carmine's position is that she sees the Exterminations as a necessary evil; the Angelic Army comes down once a year (on paper) and kills some sinners, but they leave Hellborn demons alone. If the Angels learn that Demons know how to kill them, they might just decide to "alter the deal" and summarily slaughter EVERYTHING in Hell, not just a portion of the Sinners. Of course, this deal doesn't keep Carmilla and her kids safe exactly, because they're all Sinners and therefore subject to the Extermination, but she clearly doesn't want to run the risk of making the danger any greater for her family or for anyone else.
