I was one of those fans who thought Yaya was overrated. I used to think his job was the easiest in football in that he protected a back four that never needed protecting because Xavi and Andre never lost the ball. But that 2013-14 season… he was a monster. When he starting running with the ball, he was the marvel character Juggernaut…. You weren’t stopping him.

Yaya for a few years was literally unplayable. For someone to move and look slow but nobody could catch him used to blow my mind.

Yaya Toure like the perfect footballer. Massive guy with surprising speed and acceleration. Technique goes without saying, what a player.
