Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) recently exhibited its collaborations with the Brunei government in supporting the growth of micro and small enterprises (MSMEs) in the country during a Hari Raya event organised by Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (YSHHB).
As part of the Bank’s efforts towards helping the government achieve Goals No.2 (Quality of Life) and Goals No.3 (Dynamic and Sustainable Economy) of the Brunei Vision 2035, BIBD through a collaboration with Ministry of Home Affairs has created a physical market place named Projek Tunas.
This initiative is in line with BIBD’s commitment to provide financial inclusivity by targeting segments that need support and upskilling through entrepreneurship programmes under BIBD’s social enterprise outreach.
BIBD’s collaborations with the Brunei government has been instrumental in driving social and economic development in the country. Through these collaborations, BIBD, as partner in progress beyond banking, is humbled to be able to be part of the corporate citizen that has demonstrated its commitment to supporting the growth of Brunei and improving the lives of all walks people through inclusivity, bringing social and financial inclusion to the community - for the community.
