For the frosting you can buy the one they sell at the bakeries. So, like if your grocery store has their own bakery and they make cakes you can ask if they call sell you just the frosting and you can just buy the plain white one and and your own coloring or they might already have some colored frosting from other cakes they just made. That frosting is usually less sweet than the one you bought. I learned from experience because I always thought that frosting was too sweet and i loved the soft airy less sweet frosting from the cupcakes in the bakery section. The first time i asked they said yes to me, and they gave me the rest of the 2 piping bags they had just used on the cupcakes, and they gave it to me free that time since it was like the left-over frosting.

I love the cake and you and your cat are hilarious! To make a frosting less sweet, just put a sh**load of butter or margarine in it. It not only makes it less sweet, it makes it like a butter cream! ❤

Omg I love it!! My sister makes cakes from those cake boxes and she uses milk instead and she replaces the oil with butter! It makes it taste even better! But I know your lactose so not sure if you would want to try it but both are good alternatives for water and oil
