For anyone that loves Morissette and loves her singing, this was like watching her musical mind at work. It's like she took it out of her head and we got to see what goes on when she lets her mind free to sing. I suppose that's what Jazz is basically is thinking out loud musically. The band supplies the line you are hooked to so you go too far a field. What happens can be amazing, as this was, or it might blow up in your face, if you aren't ready for the excursion. So if you're a vocal guy then your center of attention is Morisette and the band is there to support the singer. I'm going to listen to this several times to hear everybody. While I'm basically a voice person too, unlike you I can't sing a lick. Now I have had people say I sing well, I have to say their frame of reference is not very high, because I've heard my voice and believe me, your voice is a thousand percent better than mine. So indulge yourself all you want. Thanks for your reaction Yazik.

Morrisette has a tone and quality of voice I haven’t heard in 71 years of life. There are some others who have also had a unique voice throughout that time. However, despite her incredible skill developed through thousands of hours of performance, practice, and skill, what makes her distinctive is her mind. She is like few others who move their voices through transitions and to places you cannot anticipate. It is like she didn’t know she could not do that. Or, she doesn’t let others tell her she could not do that. When you listen to her talk about her voice she often reveals that it is all about discovery. That is a unique mind. If she had not began to sing professionally at 14, would she have gone on to pursue formal music theory education and learned to curb her fearlessness? Instead her talent has drawn to her some of the best composers and musical technicians her generation and locale can produce. Odd that.

many vocal coaches internationally was amazed by morissete perfect singing techniques.....she note the sounds perfectly in key with much easiness and smoothness...omg 😱😱her clean voice tone, the way she sounded it....through belted high note, runs, riffs, deep voice... transitioned from super high note down to super soft delicate voice....and controlling it with unbelievable breath support management was stunningly jaw dropping😱😱😱,amazingly😱😱 flabbergasting🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂

I really love this rendition. I don't know but it feels like a gospel version of this song especially the adlib in the end. Morissette is the only singer in this world that can top of her own renditions of her original songs. Just wow. As a recommendation, you should react to Mori and Jona's performance of Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw. It was indeed a phenomenal performance.

FYI: kiko Salazar is the composer of “akin ka na lang” the one on keyboards. Adonis tabandan, the one on bass is Moria’s almost forever musical director. Do you remember the trio performing “fly like a bird” in a black and white video published during the pandemic era?

Yes, the two plus one other person are now the Day One band under the Underdog Music label owned by Morissette herself which is also organizer of "Good Times at The Loft", these small, cozy concerts with either them and Mori, them alone or other artists of the label.

Yep, and I think this is a wise move. Some fans think people want the next Mariah/Whitney/Celine/whoever, but a lot of people don't, particularly Americans like me who have grown tired of constantly hearing about newcomers being "the next ______." I don't want the newest Mariah, I want the original Morissette. For me, she combines all the best qualities of the others into a unique package, anyway 🙂

She was doing a sound 🎤 check on 'Akin Ka Na Lang' phrase but at the last 2 minutes of song😂. Highs (10:12-10:33 A5, G#5, F#5, E5, band with the piano lines, bass), lows (11:40 a D5) - and as someone nicely broke down in vids comments, all in a mix voice! No whistle! Love it! - jazzy and addlibs🎉

AKIN KA NA LANG.....she simply OWNS the song, literally.....many can make different versions, but in the end, Mori's style will come out the best coz the song fits perfectly to her voice...moreover, she makes different styles, arrangements and placements, so the song has added lifespan of sorts.....and if ever she covers a song, that might as well be the last cover coz her's will most likely come out better than the original.....LOL Another fantastic reaction to a superb singer.... 🙂
