I know, right? They already tried something like this in 1999 when a "Best Of" set was released, adding strings to a song that never needed them. The original version was absolute perfection, the cold synthetics against the beautifully warm, soulful vocals. I'm fairly sure this is a "record company" thing, but for a duo who released two albums and one stand-alone single in the span of 18 months, all these compilations and remixes add nothing to their legacy.
