Purple haze in reality is an incredibly powerful stand. Even without its ability, it has high destructive power (he punched through a brick wall). It also seems to have a personality and mind of its own, just like echoes act 3. If fugo wasn't such a failure, he could probably tame and make friends with the beast.

​@@quanium5518Run Purple Haze's ass down. It rely on *slowly* chipping away at your health, and its only close range option is Ground Punch, making it really predictable. You're effectively fighting on a timer against Purple Haze, damages him quicker than his poison can damage you and you win. It's poison tickles anyway, Bulb Breaker Punch (the Plant Bomb lookalike) does 15-20 damage IN TOTAL IF YOU STAY IN THE CLOUD FOR THE ENTIRE DURATION. It's BAD.

My issue with Chilli Peppers AU being a copy pasted Mod Spec isn’t that it’s a copy pasted Mod Spec. Like you said it’s nice we get to use this. The issue is it feels so incredibly janky because it was made as a Mod Spec a a LONG time ago. Weather Report, even though it’s very polarizing, feels smooth to use. Chilli Peppers AU feels JANK to me, and a lot of that has to come from them literally slapping the moves onto the Stand with no change whatsoever to make it more in line with the current YBA’s visual presentation and also just general feel. And this isn’t to say they should add Scary Monsters Rework levels of visual flair. FUCK no. Just touch ups and edits to the move to make it feel more clean to use. Lightning Drop if used on the ground doesn’t even have any effects to signify it until it just damages someone. So they need to touch it up a LOT, and I wouldn’t have minded them pushing it back to December along with releasing it with Crazy Diamond Requiem to make it feel better to use.

infact they just copy and pasted dragon sage from rogue lineage , now dragon sage in rogue lineage is extremely good (and considered one of the best classes) because there is other mechanics that helps dragon sage to be good (spells , climbing , etc) however yba clearly lacks those mechanics which results in a terrible stand i think with few tweaks like making lighting elbow unblockable this stand would be good

I agree 100%. It's moreso that the effects/animations are years old and pasted on. Some stands certainly do have messy and obstructive moves, but there's a way to go about that without having year old animations and one move quite literally be a roblox cylinder part that's transparent. It just looks bad and outdated because it is. Having pinkie slash and guitar also pasted onto it doesn't help differentiate it from base RHCP well either. It just feels like a bunch of things slapped together. Mod specs, the base version of the stand, and old 2019/2020 animations/effects. It needs a rehaul already day 1

24:02 I don't think people are referring to WANTING a modspec, they're just wondering why there is an ability they spend much more time and effort on just for it to be unobtainable. I know it kind of sounds like I'm repeating what Eclipse just said, but think about it. No one (from what I've seen, coming from a player of YBA since release) ever wanted a modspec, we just want to know why it has such a high amount of quality just for us to get a stand like red hot chili peppers. (and other mediocre stands with good to alright quality) I'm sure most of us know how bad it was back then, never getting updates and then when it drops its mostly just skins. I can also mention how it was abused by people on the staff team to boost their ranked ELO, but that opens a whole new can of worms. So I can understand why people were mad about modspecs being a thing in the game. And for people being mad that RHCP:AU is a modspec reskin aren't wrong either imo. We just want something original, which has what they've been doing recently. Seeing a blatant copy and paste from a modspec (which is a blatant copy from Rouge Lineage) is just disappointing to see. I think it should be remembered that RHCPAU and Weather Report are not Paragon Stands unlike Shadow The World - They're Uzukee Stands. Which means they were under Uzukee's creative direction despite the lead being passed to Paragon. I do think Uzukee's hand in it did affect how they came out, and they shouldn't be pinned on the team as well.

For weather report, if you have boxing, you can use the wind move to stun, then shuffle to close distance. Then use hazardous weather as its range is almost the same as haymaker to stun, liver shot for extra dmg and bleed, frog rain and barage. 80-90 percent combo without blockbreak

I agree that weather report only gets good damage if he gets a block break or a parry, but I think of that kind of playstyle as a “punisher” archetype if that makes sense, a character that waits for a mistake to capitalize off of and can’t get much damage otherwise, that can be fine there are characters that do that and are still fun, the problem is the way WR takes on that archetype, how he does it if it makes sense, which doesn’t need to be explained as the proof is in the video here

global ts cooldown being 38 seconds was fine, its so you dont get time stopped then time stopped again and die in fights involving more than 3 players. not restrictive at all when time stop is just a free damage move that can be removed from each stand that uses it and those stands will function the exact same, by reducing global ts cd you can literally get stunlocked in big team fights without ts res, for the record i got time stopped 18 times in 2 sbr matches, imagine how restrictive that was?

Tbf the example you used to show weather report’s flaws was fighting against a stand that you stall with or you just can’t get close to unless they want you to. It completely counters weather report but then again there’s also stand match ups where stands just can’t beat other stands. For example STW with or without time stop has a hard time beating the hand users because the move set just isn’t equipped for dealing with that.

CPAU using the dragon sage mod spec as a base is not only lazy, but it’s just boring as well. Dragon sage in rogue lineage literally had 2 moves, uzu could have easily made the stand electrically charge not only the stand but also the user, and keep the concept and just make unique moves for the stand. The only unique move to the stand is a move that probably took less than 30 minutes to make (thunderbolt).

Most of us are complaining not because we wanted to use the mod spec but the fact they put effort into something other than a public update instead of an exclusive one to the mods. Some changes I'd make to chili pepper is that it slowly gains charge passively and when it deals damage it gains more charge (the more damage you deal the more charge you get). Let's us the guitar playing animation as a new attack, same as before you have to hold it and it'll charge a bar (maybe about 5 seconds of charging to fill it) and when you're not charging it it'll start to deplete (maybe twice as fast as hamon depleting), but if you're able to completely fill the bar you enter an enhance state (basically a rage meter, deal more damage take less damage) and all attacks no longer need to consume charge to become enhanced

I think that rhcpau is salvageable. Make the lightning slam move auto tp you into the air (using your teleports) before slamming. Yes I’m aware this might be a hardcoded move so it might not be possible, but other changes I would make: decently fast passive charge, lightning elbow block break, no charge ramping, more base destructive power.

Funny thing is RHCPAU inspired by dragon sage from rogue lineage, which is only good with tomeless. So they based the moveset on a class that is only good with something that isnt in the game. also a key criticism i have with ripping off CPAU off of a mod spec is that the mod spec in question is ALSO directly ripped off of a class called Dsage from another game called “Rogue Lineage” made by the same devs that made Deepwoken, funnily enough this isn’t the first case where they’re taken stuff from RL million pricks from SC’s kit is just a move from the Spy class and HP’s grapple stun is the same exact grapple from their Shinobi class, the devs are unoriginal that’s the issue I have not that they are ‘lazy’

I got chili pepper yesterday and kept it since I happened to get the Mikoto skin. I noticed after using it that it wasn't all that good, and was going to use a heart on it to see if AU was better. The Frog rain is just the purple haze poison. Heavy weather is just RHCP base Z move. It literally has the same animation. Weather report's X is just a smaller flash freeze. And Weather report's Y is RHCP's X but short ranged. Weather report's cloud suit is White albums defense passive but can deflect melee damage when blocking. Weather report's T is a recycled old pluck move.
