If they're gonna revert it in 2v2's, they might as well revert it everywhere else. You shouldn't have an easy time beating more than 1 person by yourself, and all the change does is make the inevitable take longer

I feel like a way to make the anti ganking update work would be to only allow the change to work in main game and casual SBR and leave 2v2s and Comp alone. The reason I say casual is because there is going to be more starters in there and lower lvl players, so disabling ganking might allow players to have a chance at winning and not being ganked. @@ana74674 Mr President as a stand is incredibly two-dimensional. It is incredibly easy to use. Using it well however, is a whole different task. The effectiveness of Mr President HEAVILY revolves around the game experience/skill level of the person using the stand, as well as the incompetence of the enemy. To get any sort of damage you are essentially FORCED to get a block break or a parry to get a guaranteed kidnap. It's not so much mechanical skill (such as pluck etc.) as it is game knowledge and positioning.

Not trying to start something here, but, Eclipse, teaming has been a major problem in the game for a long time, not being able to be double barraged is a very good change, most kids who don't have any skill will use the quantity over quality solution and take entire wins away from deserving people, this change has helped so many players who are on their own, and not everyone playing SBR are in a discord call with their 5 pals. I personally saw myself making it much farther when being ganked(not saying im some superficial god at the game) and I was even able to beat some of the teamers, allowing me to progress further, the change basically stopped people from clicking the leave button the moment they notice that they're being teamed. It's not about "skill issues." It's just the way YBA works, and before this update, stuff way was worse in SBRs. I don't expect to win 3v1s, but I hope to deserve a chance, which I was given, and I'm sure most of all solo players were. I don't personally agree with your opinion of how the update has changed pvp. Realistically, YBA is 90% dumb kids who wanna team people only to satisfy their own lust to spam ez. I think it's good that they gave solo players a better chance and ganking is no longer just a braindead barrage fest, when you team on others, you need to actually work in better sync. I also disagree with the "get some friends" point. I get where you're coming from, but getting pals isn't a fix to unbalanced ganking, at all. "Changing the whole system" makes it better for everyone and not just people who have the luxury to call friends into SBRs. That's just what I think anyway, no offense.

Being barraged by two or more people is hella annoying, but I don't think they should dissolve the idea completely. Personally, I think they should make it when being attacked by more than 1 person, DPS is reduced and maybe even damage in general, this would also make sense because in reality, there are limits to where a person can punch. The thing I think they should keep is the comb potential between many people (eg, person one does barrage, after completion of the barrage, person 2 does barrage, and etc). This is a team-like game and it would only make sense if this feature were to exist. Apart from these specific ideas, nothing else comes to mind. Ohh and the first idea may be a stretch idk.

Guilty gear does a great thing called the developer back yard where the devs will take questions from fans about the game and talk about the changes they’re making before they make it and will talk about their intent with the changes so if they do something like that I feel as tho this sort of thing wouldn’t be as likely to happen as they would have to think about the change a lot more and communicate that with their fans.

What's funny is that I said most of the stuff eclipse said in this video to paragon when he was doing the polls and he basically said that SBR is a solo mode and that he thinks teaming on people doesn't require skill (it's not meant to require it). I've been playing a lot of SBR and I haven't noticed it much despite usually teaming with randoms. Maybe it's because I use D4C Hamon and haha clone spam + gun go brrrt. But tbh it's pretty buggy usually and I can easily still hit my victim clones and gun on two people barraging. And I've seen lots of dual barrages go off. Maybe I just don't notice though.

Yba is a game adaptation of the anime JoJo’s bizarre adventure, everyone can agree on that right? In JoJo characters can win against the odds if they play it smart and use the things around them, in yba’s case the same applies, if you play it smart and use things to your advantage you can also win. Teaming is one of those things you can use to your advantage, and just like in jojo it can improves your odds of survival or decrease them if you’re playing with stands that aren’t great for teamwork. And as much as it sucks to get teamed on, you always feel great if you manage to win. And the same goes for the other way around, sometimes you need more people to defeat an enemy. What was my point? Idk, I kinda forgot halfway through writing this.

I really dont see your points here Eclipse. I dont like the mods, but I dont see the problem with this nerf.(This is kinda long so get ready) 1. Wdym you have to chase players for 30 minutes in sbr thanks to the update. Your acting like they removed team infinites. You can still do stun combos with your other moves very easily. This change doesnt make you invincible against gankers its a very slight difference. 2. Sbr was made with the intention of both solo and team being possible. I say say this for 1 simple reason. If it was meant to be team only why was there only 1 winner? Up until recently there was only 1 winner, until they added second and third place. But you get my point team only modes have rewards for the whole team not just 1 or 3 guys. Gangs have nothing to do with it seeing as how gangs were created months before sbr was made and there were numerous updates inbetween those two. Gangs dont really have a specific purpose for some reason. 3. The immunity really doesnt change anything because who ever is barraging you can just stop barraging and uh oh no more s. Then their team can continue to destroy them. The 360 degree barraging idea is a useful tip ill admit but it still doesnt help much seeing as it will at the most only cancel 1 move unless the team is all idiots. For example your getting barraged by teamer1, another teamer(teamer2) positions himself behind you and gets ready to use some cancellable move, you start barraging and beyblading to cancel their move and everyone else's moves. Since it doesnt perfectly stun due to your spin, teamer2 can block and dash out of the barrage storm easily. Teamer3 uses his brain and standfinishers you and the others position themselves to take advantage of your ragdoll and you get infinite comboed. Even if it was just 2 guys this still works. 4. Thats an npc evading a barrage isnt that easy against a player, especially if they got timeskip or pluck. Bottom line this update is not nearly as big of an issue as your making it out to be. Again I dont like the alpha cadet and he probably has some other reason for adding this thats not for us(like cringe modspecs) but I dont see any issues with this change except in 2v2s.

I wanna counter claim the “how to counter teamers” part with the short clip. Players don’t play like AI, it is very unpredictable when they are going to barrage and teamers don’t always use barrages to catch people. There is a wide verity of things people can do to essentially catch the solo player instead of barraging. So the whole “I can just block and dash out of a barrage is counter play” doesn’t really show that the barrage change was not needed.

Cap people really undermine the fact that the barrage are usually a stand's highest total damage move doing roughly 50-40 damage depending on if a person has defense or not, a single double is basically the same as getting hit by a sptw bd

Even if a barrage did 0 dmg it would still be good because it would still help their team mates do damage to the solo player that are fighting. If you ever experienced the overpowered barrages back then, 3 people could all barrage the same person and they would be dead because there was nothing to prevent ganking.

i honestly think the way they should anti gang is this: the more people attaack you the less damage you take and deal out slightly more damage per each person if over 4 people attack you within 10 seconds then you gain knockdown resistence (knockback still applies but you dont get ragdolled) this way team combos still exist but give the user a chance to actually escape but also remove that chance if everything is calculated within a vc

i disagree, turning it off EVERYWHERE else is just returning an issue. for 2v2's its bad but again this was added to fix an issue mainly seen in areas where ganking is not ok. in a 2v2 if your partner dies then yeah get ganked lol. getting ganked in main story, or casual sbr (where your just trying to get spin or req arrow questline) is a pain in the ass. especially since 9 times out of 10 you have zero defense against it unless you also have people to back you up. You can easily say "just dont play sbr" but several very important endgame items are gained from sbr unless you feel like spending an exhorbitant amount of time and resources in the -casino- arcade trying to win an item, and if you want a consistant source of requiem arrows you NEED win atleast one round of sbr. Not to mention any endgame stands require several bouts of sbr or inherent luck with the arcade. I know an active response is "just make a consistant way of getting the needed stand evolution items outside of sbr" but at that point your cutting out the middle man, and from what i can tell with the band-aid updates, thats not what they are going for. and id enjoy not having to see people put up with the blaintant bullshit that is a highly toxic mass multiplayer experience that is NECESSARY to get anywhere in a game which has meta gameplay. SBR solo where you just go through the map, maybe add some enemies. just to get the shit you need like spin or the req arrow access win so your not stuck fucked over because its a toxic wasteland. (maybe some kind of dedicated questline for the items for dio OH that cant be used ) Its not perfect but you just gotta live with compromise. having ganking not be a pain in the ass in casual game modes but be still effective in 2v2 game modes where it is an expected end result is more than acceptable to me.
