One thing to note: Stone free is SUPER good at defeating Dio over heaven, it's just so fun. When using stone free to kill dio over heaven, the name of the game is cancelling his ts. The start is easy, but then it gets to the ts part, stone free's attacks are very fast (i'm talking about pilot and home run), while Dio's ts is slow, when it gets to lower than half health, I alr know that Dio's gonna use ts, so I just use home run to cancel it, when his TS gets cancelled, he bugs for some reason and will do anything for the rest of the fight, so you can just finish him off easily. Sure, it's easier with SP:TW, but it's much funnier with Stone Free

Also with String Barrier you can use it without having your stand out but instead of 19 dmg it does 12 dmg am pretty sure. It is really good to use if an enemy is going to attack you when your ragdoll goes away you, basically mash the G key until you get up and you get to punish the enemy.

I would use this, but there's always the risk of just getting barraged or m1d as the barrier is cancellable. This is similar to the risk of tossing out a jaw breaker or (you'll get barraged for this:) eye gouge without a stand.

Honestly, Stone Free proved to me that Uzu still loves YBA and is trying his best to make the game good. He put so much love and care into Stone Free and it definitely shows, and with a QOL update already out within a couple days of an update, I feel like YBA is finally going back on the right track.

Stone free feels like it’s tusk levels of easy to counter, except tusk also has it’s nail glide to help confirm stuff off auto aim projectiles Stone free has too much windup for blockable and cancelable skills. I get that they’re ranged, but they don’t have enough stun to warrant this much windup on most of them. The best one is honestly the barrier which is both a block break and a stun. It falls into the trap a lot of roblox games recently have been falling into where everything is slow to show off animations, which doesn’t work well unless everything is not cancelable. That would suck in YBA, where canceling skills is such a large part of the game, especially stun skills.

I agree, I feel like Stone Free was a stand focused on animations. All the best stands in the game had thought poured into the moves mostly. Star finger, heaven ascended smite, dimensional scythe. Animations were secondary. I've fought dozens of stone frees and I recall losing only 1 fight. The animations are great, but I feel it was too focused on that.

@@mrdespacito did they? I haven’t fought a tusk or played as tusk after the update. If they did, that’s a horrible nerf to tusk, which already wasn’t super good to begin with. The stone frees i’ve fought all felt very similar to tusk. See an attack winding up? Just press F. Get in melee range and don’t suck at the game, you instantly win the match.

Stone Free is the definition of a perfect stand. It isn't too strong but can put out some serious damage if you know what you are doing, it's unique but it isn't too unique making it unplayable or un-fun to play, the visuals are amazing and it's just overall great to have it for some reason. It was definetly NOT worth the 1 year wait but it's still pretty solid for a yba stand and I really hope future stands + reworks can follow stone free's path.

Fun fact: I don't know if they patched this or not but if you beatdown your victim clone (with either the ball beatdown or the normal beatdown) and the victim clone blows up, you'll be stuck until you reset.

Yo Eclipse, I got a good combo to do, you use String Lasso, and if they block, all the better! If they block, while you’re flying above the enemy, quickly use String Pilot, most of the time they won’t see it coming. After that use a 2 or 3 m1s, Kick Barrage, as the enemy is knocked down, use String Barrier, as they get up, m1 them and sometimes they will get caught in the barrier and get stuck, this is when you use eye gouge, if they are blocking use jawbreaker obviously, then try to extend the combo. This is what I use and 95% of the time the enemy falls for it. Also if they block String Pilot, and you’re close enough, dash towards them and use Kick Barrage

17:17 whenever you decide to do this, try hg with hamon, i tested it and apparently scarlet overdrive doesnt take off marionette control for some reason, unless using it on bots is different from using it on players. plus emerald splash and barrier doing 3.8 and nearly 5 damage to vamps is pretty funny. (3 being the new damage due to the higher damage, lower length balance change for hg a few hours ago)

I've heard "mid-free" or "stone free-combos" but tbh, I think it's DEFINITELY powerful with it's high Destructive power, speed, and utility, but it's not too busted because there's a lot of blockable moves. However, you can get around this with the use of your utilities or spec to open yourself to use your abilities. I'd say it's a hybrid between a ranged and close ranged defensive ability, I think it's fun to play if you're smart enough to catch your opponent. I'd say that it's like a high B tier in its playability if stands like SP are A tier.

Yba had a little update where you can see health now and the string pilot got changed to canceling the whole animation when blocked. I'm pretty sure you can't combo when people get knockdown'ed anymore with string pilot.

some other sf techniques: Using string lasso on the floor to fling yourself to your opponent and kick barrage them. String lasso has very low endlag and can be used similarly to hp's grapple because you can use moves after you are flung. vaporizing freeze, m1m1m1, predict when they start blocking (usually after 2 m1's) and block break them with string barrier, allowing for a free beatdown. (already mentioned in video) always use string pilot when the opponent gets ragdolled, even better with stand crashing because if they don't block you can get a free barrage. Though they can block upon getup, you can use string barrier after, and probably still get a free barrage. (just unblock)

My thoughts on every move: Ora Kicks - A all-around great move, great for ending combos, getting free damage, or to escape combos Homerun - Requires decent aim to use at long range, and rewards you for it pretty well. Suprisingly good at melee range if the target is stunned String Barrier - An INSANELY useful move that extends combos, has area denial, and can even transform Combo Enders into Combo Extenders by placing the barrier on top of a ragdolled person String Slam - Basically a better Heavy Punch, but throws the opponent far enough away and ragdolls them long enough so you can confirm String Bandage String Lasso - A great move that starts combos very well and is useful for escaping bad situations, such as an SCR using Your Own Shadow String Pilot - An EXECELLENT move that can be used at nearly any range and be effective, combo into Homerun. A suprisingly great combo extender at melee range as well String Bandage - An ok move that while does have a long windup, can be confirmed by using String Slam as stated previously or by using String Beatdown String Beatdown - A decent move that is hard to hit, but hits like a truck. An amazing finisher

Fun fact: String Barrier also works like Pluck's Pierce Strike: it has a lingering-sort-of hitbox, meaning you can use Ora Kicks, time the Barrier and on get-up, the enemy will be strangled without a stand, confirming a free barrage or a combo-extend if you have the right spec (ahem ahe spin)

Here a tech, string pilot can be use on knockdown people, similar to sc million pricks except auto aim. This basically gives you a free combo. String pilot can be confirm with any knockdown move. It’s best use with skill that stand crashes for example jaw breaker or string slam

Yes you can use any move after the initial hit, but Epitaph is the most effective and nullifies the entire point of the barrier along with potentially hurting the SF user for attempting to use the move as intended. in other words, its the most effective and best counter to the barrier.

i tested stone free out with every spec so here's my opinions on every build: hamon: since the destructive power is on par with sp and tw, you can obviously do BIG damage. you can pull some sh-nasty combos with zoom punch and string pilot in unison since they are both fast combo starters/extenders. boxing: well, it's boxing. string barrier into jaw breaker is pretty much the only way you're gonna be able to do damage. eye gouge can be confirmed off of string pilot if close enough (about the size of your dash range), but i still think home run is a better option. string pilot can be used after jaw breaker to catch them off guard. pluck: definitely not used to getting my hp shredded, but besides that, pierce strike is an amazing tool to have with stone free. you can do some cheese with kick barrage into pierce strike since they have less i-frames than other kick barrages (i think.) barrier into pierce strike is pretty much always a guranteed beatdown. thrust into string pilot is some funny cheese too. vamp: you basically have 2 freezes, have fun. blood drain is a decent knockdown to use with string pilot. not too much to say here since this spec synergizes the second-least with sf. spin: would not recommend, spin is awful. however, barrier into multi steel balls into beatdown is probably the funniest thing i've ever seen and is what carries it imo. spin punch is still the worst move in the game. i think my favorite was pluck, surprisingly; solely based off of how good pierce strike and thrust are with this stand. though, i would recommend hamon for the non-sweats.

Video idea: you can use mr President and trap all your friends in there. Then, wander around and wait for someone to attack you or you can provoke them. then when they go in for the attack, you can summon everyone out. sort of like lucy and the celestial keys from fairy tail

You also forgot 1 thing about String bandage when you got "Hamon Punch" upgrade on hamon it buffs your heal to 27.5 ik that this isn't much but it still is actually can help you survive after you land a cutscene

Doesnt TWOH have the lowest amount of heal compared to other stands who can heal? Maybe hamon punch might buff it up a little better

Stone free in my honest opinion is the closest we've gotten to a balanced stand a few things that i would like to see changed -The heal either have a hp buff (5-10 hp, not much) OR a animation reduction, because currently, its not amazing, and just a small change would help -String lasso just generally having a better aiming system, (its kinda jank to land right now) -Ora kicks being uncancelable (which did happen thank god) -String Slam being Uncancelable: Currently String slam is up there with one of the slowest moves to come out, while also being blockable and cancelable, making it basically a move where using any other move is a better option. Having this uncancelable option would really REALLY help stone free when it's getting rushed, without breaking the stand since as i mentioned the move is Slow and blockable. Even if a damage nerf to the move is required i would definitely take that over the extremely risky move we have now.

String Barrier is just a slightly better vaporization freeze. They both block break They Freeze you in place, but you can still attack Jankiest hitboxes Barrier is just slightly better because it blinds you
