I love how he did this. He showed respect mentioning OG's, used Em's The Way I Am flow and Coles, held the door, looked up lyrics, the video is in the barber shop reinforcing conversation. Plus he has some skill

Its funny how a lot of the focus is on the drug usage references in their music but no one aint never said shit about lil wayne, juicy j, and others who been rappin thru the early 2000s b4 this mumble rap shit blew up. Im glad to see other people hav the same viewpoint as me. 1 thing that needs to be noted is that us fans are not the ones throwin shade at them, we simply jus dont listen to it, its other artists that developed a hatred for it. Tbh i do hav a problem wit the content but its from the beginning of hip hop to now. They rapped about selling drugs but now its a problem when we talk bout doin them, we shouldve said something back then. Also, there is a difference between rappin about current/ past involuntary situations and wat u [will] involve urself in. It never made sense to me how 21 savage said that he was rappin about his past and childhood more so to vent, but all i ever heard was him showin off some drug use. U thought i was finished?? These lil ass kids and their parents need to take some of the blame to. Theres no reason for a kid to ever think that doin a drug is kool. Thats jus ludicrous to believe when u are taught all ur life the contrary. Wats next? Montana of 300 music gonna raise the murder/homicide rates too??Thats it im gettin out these comments.
@zinniacopeland7776 жыл бұрын
Slicewinds just wanted to touch on one point, a lot of kids are not being taught not to use drugs...a lot of the parents are doing them with them

It’s like Cordae said we just need to bridge the gap. Y’all gotta stop thinking y’all just the best generation and we gotta be more open to hear other perspectives (not saying everyone in each generation is one or the other cause there are young people who listen and older people who want to hear what our generation is about

+InTheClutch Sometime when it's too late in the future, some will finally understand that it's the industry who's pushing some of today's rappers who rap about nothing but drugs, guns, and women. The reason the industry does it is to dumb down the youth and change their narrative on what's right and wrong in life. With this type of music becoming popular, it makes the type of things they rap about desirable to the youth, who then start to want after these things, and then it becomes popular in their social groups. Cordae was correct. It's obvious the youth won't listen and respectfully so because they're young need guidance but like he said the youth isn't going to take advice from lazy grown ups who can't even apply their own advice to their own lives. It all starts with the "old niggas" they have to be the ones who walk like they talk to show the youth what they can really achieve in a respectable manner. As a whole we got to get back to God. We all need some saving from Jesus. The industry wants us dumb because Satan wants us dumb. Go look this up in a Bible... Satan is the prince of this world until Jesus comes back. Who knew one of the "new niggas" could speak facts? lol 😂💯
