The thing with Sonu Nigam is available in the public domain and he too has been very much vocal about the discriminations he has faced. But imagine someone like Monali Thakur who had the industry connections completely fading out from the scene itself that now she only sings during live shows. Not getting enough popularity like her contemporaries Shreya Ghoshal, Sunidhi Chauhan. There are many stories that never came up

You should have also brought up royalty issues .Singers did not get royalties even according to the law .. for their songs before ...and he was banned by multiple music companies for fighting for it which included T-Series and Zee and his songs were dubbed in other singers voices. Now they are beginning to get royalties . Do search about ISRA(now ISAMRA) of which he is a board member and all prominent singers are a part of it.

@@MooZic_2005true and its actually about composers and music directors mostly not about singers however some songs of arijit are not so bad though as he is selective and chooses good songs.. of course cant be compared with the golden era but still some are good like tumhe kitna pyar karte, raat akeli thi, bairiya, dil banane waleya, rihaa, galtiyan, jeena sikha de, o bedardya, tainu khabar nahi, tu zinda hai etc... some are his own compositions too..

Totally no connection! About 1000 other people were also rejected on that show in 2012. Rubin himself has said that rejection was deserved because he was not singing well at that time.

I think raising right issues are not wrong . We are literally wasting the talent of Shankar ehsaan loy type of music directors. Can't you see yourself how low bollywood music have gone . Just coz of lack of uniqueness . They are just reusing the same style of songs .
