LOVEBITES - Set The World On Fire lyrics: The blue moon colors the blaze Stabbing myself with the thunder The predetermined imitation An emotionless and a fearless smile Flowing blood and crimson blade Devastated resolution Heat haze is waving far away Who’s going to be sacrificed? ON FIRE Just like a falling flower ON FIRE Until this body rots away Burning down to the Gates of Hell Distorted madness is sneering Incompetent, cowardly fools A pitiful and painful punishment It’s you who will be sacrificed ON FIRE Dressed in an armor of steel ON FIRE If I’m burned again and again I’ll rise up from the Gates of Hell The blue moon colors blaze Stabbing myself with the thunder The predetermined imitation An emotionless and fearless smile Flowing blood and crimson blade Devastated resolution Heat haze is waving far away Who’s going to be sacrificed? ON FIRE Just like a falling flower ON FIRE Until this body rots away Burning down to the Gates of Hell ----- lyrics: asami music: miyako arrangement: LOVEBITES [miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami]

The bassist left in August but did not join another band. She just wanted to step away, although she did make at least one appearance as a guest bassist. Lovebites just opened up auditions for a new bassist but probably won't make a descion for several months as they announced they will have a three phase selection process.

This show was done under Covid restrictions so they may have had movements restricted. The audience were only allowed to clap not shout or move about. The vocalist is Asami, drummer is Haruna, bassist is Miho (left last August), Blond guitarist is Midori and Dark haired guitarist is Miyako. They are currently auditioning for a new bassist.

Great reaction. I happen to believe that they are the best rock band I’ve ever witnessed. Musical perfection. The dual so in this song is so in sync it’s unreal. Miyako uses wah wah often because she admires Kirk Hammet’s playing.

That effect in the start of the solo is made by the whammy bar (tremolo bar), it's basically a dive bomb, you let a note ring and press on the whammy bar at the same time to lower its pitch and it will sound like that

You would think he, being a "musician," would've known that. Obviously not though.

My comment should've stated that obviously HE didn't know that. He's basically an entry-level musician like most other musician reactors.
@jonasw39452 жыл бұрын
@@randypeters366 A lot of musician reactor I watch seem to be pretty professional and not entry level at all, some of their original music and covers are seriously impressive. As of this particular channel you can't really judge the guy just because he isn't familiar with a specific guitar technique, depending on the genre of music he plays he could've never ever been in a situation where he needs to learn it or even be exposed to it or hear it that much (metal is not the only genre out there). Also from what I seen from his playing he seems more of a piano/accoustic guitar singing guy than a lead guitarist so it is kinda justifiable imo

Midori, the blonde guitarist quit attending a pharmacy university at around 20 years old and went to ESP/MI music school in Osaka to learn how to play the electric guitar. She graduated 3 years later and joined Lovebites 3 years after that. She is the pure technical shredder with a plethora of techniques. She can play the piano as well. Miyako is a prodigy and classical pianist since very young and didn't pick up the guitar until 17, 18(?), or 19(?) years old. Whichever background story goes. Her ability on guitar reflects her classical background in that her playing is more melodic. She also plays bass and some drums. In their performances, she can be seen playing not only piano, but on keyboard and keytar. Together, Midori and Miyako's technical abilities and sync timing are on another level above most guitarists.

Thunder Vengeance is F kick ass, you have to do it! Nothing wrong with rewinding LOVEBITES music. 😀 Pretty sure Miyako, who's playing the Dean was 4mos pregnant at this show, to put it into perspective. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong. Great react and analysis!

Great reaction video dude. The two guitarists, Midori (blonde) and Miyako (dark hair) use their contrasting styles of playing to feed off each other and push each other to even greater heights. The closest comparison I can think of would be what it would have sounded like if Kerry King from Slayer and Kirk Hammett from Metallica had ever played on stage together back in their early days (mid-80's to mid-90's). Midori has a more 'clean' style of playing leads, while Miyako has a more 'distortion' style of playing leads (as is perfectly demonstrated in her final solo). In my opinion Midori and Miyako are two of the best Metal guitarists currently playing, and are very reminiscent of guitarists from Metal bands from the 80's to mid-90's when Metal was at it greatest, with influences from some of the BEST Speed/Thrash Metal bands from that Era. And of course we can't forget about Miho, the Original Bassist and Co-founder of the band, as well as Haruna (drummer and Co-founder) who seems like she has two speeds when playing: Fast and FASTER. And I've also noticed that occasionally the style of playing that Haruna has on drums is occasionally reminiscent of Dave Lombardo. Also add into account the fact that Haruna plays the Bass Pedals 'heels up' (and although I'm NOT a drummer or a musician of any type, I've always been told and heard/read that using the 'heels up' position on the Bass Pedals is more physically tiring/draining especially at faster speeds) and to me that shows just how talented Haruna truly is as a drummer. And of course we can't forget Asami on vocals, with her powerful voice, which to me sounds reminiscent of Bruce Dickenson, which I personally think is awesome. To sum up, to me Lovebites not only sets the bar for what Heavy Metal should sound like, but Lovebites ARE the bar for what Heavy Metal should sound like. Just my own personal opinion anyway. But regardless, again great reaction video dude. Oh and by the way, you have a new subscriber.

Haruna, a drummer, can't step on the super-high-speed double pedal (double bass) if she wears high heels. So I play with the sneakers I'm used to wearing while playing. However, when all the performances are over and I move from the drum area to the stage and all the members greet me, I change to white high heels just for that purpose.

These women are extremely talented, skillful and exceptional, proficient musicians. They have been melting the world since 2017. Some people say that it’s almost a crime (unfair) that two of the best guitarists in the world (male or female) are in the same band. Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just five years; all of them are so talented. Their live performances are really outstanding (but avoid Bloodstock because audio is not good). My next recommendations are “Thunder vengeance”, “Chopin Etude + Swan song”, “Awakening/Hammer of wrath” (live, of course). Believe it or not, Asami was a R&B, soul, jazz singer before she joined Lovebites.

Good reaction. Yes, Miho the bassist, the founder/leader of the band left Lovebites last august, and the audition for the bassist is open until May 24th. Any gender, any nationality, any age, you have a chance. Take a look at this link. kzbin.info/www/bejne/o6q2lmmCetecpJY and this kzbin.info/www/bejne/jGbCg2SclM2Njc0. Miyako the dirk haired guitarist regularly uses effect pedals. She usually does it with high heels but she was 4 month pregnant and wearing flat sole this time. About shoes, Haruna the drummer wears sneakers during drumming because she does it for almost two hours every show, and she changes her shoes when she goes in front of the audience. Isn't it amazing those musicians do such a performance for two hours in high heels with heavy instruments on their such small shoulders. I bet you can't do that. Midori the blond guitarist regularly uses that screeching. Try sometime a tight and crazy thrash, Winds of Transylvania live version kzbin.info/www/bejne/l3rYg5JjqqZ3icU. If you like total different aspect of love bites, try a slow ballad Epilogue kzbin.info/www/bejne/gHqke4x4qtp-fa8. Asami the singer sings so soulful that she was a R&B singer before Lovebites, and guitar solo of twin guitars will shake you soul. It's a most beautiful ballad.

OK, so is a plectrum a pick? I watched your last Lovebites reaction and was confused by what you meant - haven't heard them called that over here in the US, but my browser isn't telling me plectrum is spelled wrong, so I guess it's a real word in English, LOL. Also, they're holding open auditions for a new bass player if you know anybody who wants to give it a shot!

Oh yes indeed a plectrum is the same as a guitar pick😉 I'm used to calling it that way, but guitar pick is a more comonly used term I believe.

It doesn't make any sense to me, whatsoever. Some reaction channels pause once or twice. Almost 100 percent do not pause during a guitar solo out of respect for the music and musicians and then there’s reaction channels that think they have to pause every 15 seconds. SMFH 🤦🏻♂️
@Zerok1472 жыл бұрын
Great reaction! Just a suggestion, that some music orientated reaction youtubers sometimes do. They first try listening to solo as a whole and after the solo, they come back and pick interesting things to mention and talk about. This way you get the best of both worlds, uninterupted solo and then your thoughts and insights on it !

Whoever is spreading this gossip of Miho starting her own is a liar plain and simple and doesn't know anything about Lovebites. I always tell people don't always believe everything you read, too many people use other comments and spread lies. This song is about these metal Queens or goddesses who are going to use metal to destroy the evils of the world and send them back to the gates of hell. It is a battle between good and evil, Lovebites and their songs are in complete contrast to the norm of the dark dreary evil side of metal the world was so used to. They are a breath of fresh air to many of us and ones who truly appreciate their messages and the new style of metal.
