Not everybody believes them when they tell the place the technical requirements they need. Sound systems are often designed to stop when they can't deal with the sounds. It's a safety mechanism. There is a reason Home Free travels with their own that can deal with absurd lows

Yes, my hearing aides agree with that statement! Shut them off 2 times at least during the many concerts I've attended.

Home Free has sung this since before they were on The Sing-Off. It has always been a showcase for Tim. I like that Chance gets to sing a verse. Adam Rupp has broken a couple of sound systems during his beatbox solo. Great reaction.

Tim is basically kryptonite to sound systems. I saw a recent clip, which I can't locate right now, where they were playing at a small country fair. The clip basically starts with Tim saying "well, folks, sorry we blew out the sound so early in the show, but they're working on that. Hey, it could be worse...a bunch of years ago we were playing a show at a fair about this size, and I hit a low note and knocked out power to the entire fair. Now, this says more about their local electrician than me [it says a *little* about you, Tim...] -- they were apparently routing all their lines to the same source. But...anyway...I hit a low note and *stranded people on the Ferris wheel*."

Hahaha Tim blows another speaker! And they sound so good live. Tim loves to have fun with the audiences and does really low sounds on Elvira, Your Man and others. You can see those live videos on KZbin. So much fun. Thank you Melissa and Yuri!

Great #HomeFree reaction, as always! I believe they were re-releasing songs as "Home Free's Version" in a similar fashion to Taylor Swift re-doing many of her albums/songs, under their own label so they have control. When they first won The Sing-Off they were under contract and the label had a specific "sound/style" they wanted from Home Free. Now under their own label they could change up how they wanted these "older" songs to sound and give it a fresh HF spin, and then also benefit from any proceeds as its "their version."

I really like this new version, and seeing Tim getting almost embarrassed but also a little proud of breaking the sound system is always funny. However my favourite live version is from the Crazy Life tour and I think you would really enjoy that one since you noticed the backing singers’ shenanigans 😂 I’ll post the link in the comments to this.

They now have some Super Heavy Duty speakers … that can handle his speaker destroying Bass voice 👍😳🥴‼️🙃… Now he can vibrate the the whole audience …quite mind blowing….your butt vibrates…it’s even made my hair tingle…Crazy feeling …but, Fun 🙃🔥‼️

Austin decided he wanted to to stop touring, so he and his wife could stay home and raise a family. Completely friendly on both sides - just something Austin wanted to do. Both sides have said that they are still family, and will be doing things together in the future.

They always have a lot of fun with this song. I've seen several different recordings, and they all have their funny moments. In live performances you really can feel the entire building vibrate when Tim does his low notes. There are many funny stories about this, such as the time a lady's false teeth fell out from the vibrations, or when plaster started falling from the ceiling! Thanks for reacting to Home Free. This may have been the first time but it sure wasn't the last! Tim blowing out speakers is kind of a standard thing these days. They just can't handle those dragon's breath notes! Great reaction to a fun song. Thanks!

The guys' reaction in this video is closest to the very first one (titled "live" but it's not from a live show); very mild compared to all the others. There are several versions on YT recorded by fans from the crowd during concerts. Please do check those out; the byplay between Tim and Rob is hilarious. Of course this live show, the whole video, is my favorite version. Enjoy! Adam Bell-Bastien was a part of Home Free between the time Matt Atwood (one of the original members) left to start a family and the time they could get Austin off his cruise ship position. They brought him back onto the B-team to cover their regular tour dates when the main five taped and toured for The Sing-Off (around 2013-14). When Chris Rupp left Home Free in 2016 he formed the group 7th Ave along with his sister Tristin Rupp and Adam Bastien (married name Adam Bell-Bastien). The 4th member I'm most familiar with is a lady named Kelley Jakle but I recently ran across a video where the 4th was Adam's husband Jerome Bell-Bastien. Those two performed on The Voice as OneUp but I've also seen their videos as OneUpDuo.

There are 2 live videos I know of where Tim blows out the sound system & one where Adam Rupp does. The original is by Josh Turner - HF has been singing their version since at least 2014. There's a live video called "Tim Foust's vibration" that has highs & lows that are mind-blowing. All the songs they've been re-issuing were ones they did under contract to Columbia, so it may have something to do with copyrights (they bought the contract out years ago & have since been independent).

Sound systems really have problems with Tim's dragon breath! There's even a video out in YT land where Adam Rupp kills the system! I think sound systems in general have problems with HF. I've seen HF 3X, and they had minor technical difficulties at least twice. Then there's the time plaster fell from the ceiling from one of Tim's dragon breath notes... 😂
