They just slap something together in Unreal 5 and then put a filter over it so your brain excuses the lack of realistic detail or textures automatically. All these "hyperreal" indie walking simulators do the exact same trick, since Unrecord came out. UE5 is amazing of course, but the best graphics in the industry still come from game devs' proprietary engines and they don't need to _always_ add a bad "VHS" filter and excessive camera shake to show it.
