yo yoshi heres some lore for you: if you see those little gold studs on his forehead they are service studs to mark out how long he's served so there are 4 of them on his head as of now so that being said. silver studs are 50 years service gold studs are a full century. so our boy titus is 400 years old because all the studs in head are gold.

@edgardelibojr.4450 Titus had 2 gold studs during SM1, which means he was around 200. In SM2, he has 4 which means he is 400~ now

What IS Warhammer? Obviously there are video games but the way this game is treated makes me believe it's not a video game series. It sounds like there may be books about it. Is it a tabletop game? Why does 95% of the way people interact with it online just seem to be "lore" and not what it's mainly about?

What you see is mostly lore because the tabletop war-game (which is how the series started and is the “main” thing) requires you to sell your heart, soul and everything you own to afford. The Lore is just easier for more people to engage with and is the reason anyone would get into the tabletop. So essentially the lore is the main thing.

@@KingkuntaGG I appreciate you giving me an actual answer. Always felt in limbo hearing Warhammer fans talk because I never got what the lore was used for or where it originates from, but the sheer amount of it put me off researching it. Thanks!

@@billbill6094 I don’t blame you. The lore is extensive to say the least, but it is quite interesting. Bricky’s videos over Covid got me into it. I’d recommend those if you ever feel like dipping your toes in.

Warhammer is a tabletop miniatures game created by the company Games Workshop. There are two main ‘Universes’ in Warhammer. “Warhammer 40000”, and “Warhammer: Age of Sigmar”. One is a sci-if universe, the other is a fantasy universe. They aren’t connected in any canonical way, although they do share the same 4 ‘Chaos Gods’ (think 4 satans on steroids). Warhammer have recently been expanding their licensing projects, which is why games like Space Marine 2 and the Warhammer 40000 Live Action project led by Henry Cavill with Amazon have been in the news. The reason the ‘lore’ is so big is because this is the one thing that connects everything Warhammer, from the tabletop, to the video games, to books, animations, etc. That’s why you probably hear so much about it. It’s the one thing all corners of the fanbase can enjoy.

@@Vin_Venture896 Thank you as well, for also answering a question I didn't ask because I thought this game made it obvious. I swore I remember Warhammer being talked about like pure fantasy genre, and wondered if it was originally fantasy but this was that same world in, well, 40k.
