Re-watching this one. I agree with Ryan that personal responsibility (and really accountability) are cousins to integrity. In one of my leadership training programs we were reminded, from time to time, that integrity and accountability are front of the hand/back of the hand. It sometimes really sucks because then one has to have the courage (Scrum Value!) to say something in uncomfortable situations. It's also leads to respect in that you have the respect to say something to someone when something isn't working (or even acknowledge them!). Integrity/accountability also requires a commitment and openness to improving (even personally) how one say responds and interacts with people. And, then there is focus in such areas as promised or requested actions (although not promised/requested results - that drives people batty and can lead to bad behaviors).

Great question if I may add other points: High performing Team takes up continuous improvement religiously. Adds into contributing for Product enhancements that exceed the expectations of PO. Works with customers for transparent feedback.

Nice insights Prasanna, I would add to your "working", "constant collaboration" with "key stakeholders" and being "ultra transparent" to have "constant feedback" throughout the sprint

Nice insights, great word "Integrity" does foster commitment and respect, having a secure and safe environment is key for openness and focus, courage requires all the other values, however it is limited by leadership. People do not follow titles they follow courage, to have courage you have to believe that your leaders will not sacrifice you for their own purpose.

How can we apply scrum in the new remote work world?

As always, it's another great episode.High quality, integrity, having fun, great leadership who provides goals...so great! Thanks for sharing D.J. R.R. and Mr.Allergy T.M.(better new name lol). My today's questions are: 1. Who is accountable for PB refinement? PO or Scrum Team. I remember it's Scrum Team, but wanna hear your opinions plus, SG does not specify that. 2. During Spring Planning, are developers who make the final estimates for SBIs? Or the whole Scrum Team does. Thanks. Junlong An

Imo.. Answer for both questions is Developers. Yes PO is accountable to provide clarifications and priorities for PBR. It's upto Developers to bring in the consensus of understanding a story so it can be taken up for Sprint. For second question it's 💯 Developers who do the estimates, SM helps in facilitating any conflict between estimates and reach a common understanding by seeking to explanation for deviations in estimates.

@@PrasannaMunukutla sorry. Both of questions are about developers and ST. Not SM.

Thanks for the great episode! 👍🏼 Q. How does Leaders/Senior Management become enablers for High Performance?
@MarkBurville3 жыл бұрын
My take, reworded from above :) Leaders should show that they will not sacrifice those they lead for their own well being.

And a second take, :) if Leaders do not empower the team with all control related to the Product, the team will lack self-management and will be hindered in becoming High Performance.
