Chill 😂 He didn't put it out because he decided to go on a spiritual journey and start working on his gospel album. The song would not have fit on anything he was working on at that time. Ye always makes Nicki rewrite her verses because he believes in Nicki and always has. He always says he almost didn't add the verse because that's how he plays with Nick and gives her mad props at the same time.

Kanye was just starting that religious “yeezus” church route he went down and wanted to only release music with no cursing or vulgarity. So Nicki had already finished her final verse and the song was pretty much done. But Nicki didn’t want to write another verse with those restrictions so Ye didn’t release the song. Then it got leaked. Then years later (last year) Ye tried to get it released officially but Nicki said no cause she was over him, previously he also pulled out of a Yeezy x Nicki fashion line collab and gave it to Kim (skims).
