I am from Telangana. We're taught about Ramadasa in school textbooks . Never knew Importance of his Songs, meaning. Spiritualism is boring as a kid when all we want to do is play cricket and enjoy Now as a Middle aged person, I see the importance of it. Singer Pai sings so well. . So emotional. His voice touches depths of our hearts. Ramadasa ,who was a Tahsildar, or revenue officer, was jailed because he used all revenue accreud to public exchequer from North East Telangana to build Bhadrachalam Rama Temple. Sultan was enraged . He was jailed. But as said , Bhagwan Ram appeared before him and his sultan. Rama told sultan to relieve Ramadasa which he did. This song Bhakta Ramadasa was crying and invoking God to save him from Jail blaming only self for his fate in jail and abuse he went.

Kuldeep's mother tongue is Konkani, born in Kerala I am sure he knows Malayalam, Karmabhoomi is Chennai knows Tamil well. Now sings Telugu very fluently with Bhava and Bhakti. Hindi, Kannada and Marathi are inherent to Konkani speakers and English is universal. Really, jealous of you sir.

What a masterpiece ! The shruti and gati chosen, musical accompaniments, aesthetics, angle of recording, etc, etc along with your fervent singing will turn stone into a flower. Needless to say that background music after each sangathi is outstanding, especially where the confessor confesses- background music portrays the restlessness of the sinner making him/her realize the sins and saying world is dark for you now, nobody can help you except for God. I always watch your videos in 2 modes, first with eyes open to watch the video/singing and second just to listen to the song without looking at the video. Many of the subtle aspects which I miss while watching the video, comes into light when I hear the song. Choosing an adult over child makes a lot of sense for this song as adults have excessive baggage of karma on their backs. Kuldeep Ji, you are a trend setter for future generations showing them how to beautify a rendition even with minutest details thus making it fine art !! I am sure Lord Rama would have at least come in your dreams hearing your rendition !

This brought tears to me, sung with so much of devotional emotions or emotional devotion to our Shree Ramji. I am from UP and although lot of words in this bhajans , like Dashrathi or Seeta Ramanan are quite understandable, I couldn't have followed the meaning without the subtitles. Dhanya is the writer of this bhajan Bhadrachalam Ramadasu ji, and dhanya is the music composer and singer Anant Pai ji. Thank you for sharing this🙏
