i’m tired of people shitting on release vers. and gassing up these old versions just because of some dumb reason like “this one has quavo” or “the release doesn’t have enough melody.” if this was one of the newer versions with quavo then i could understand preferring it, but this version is like 100% worse than release and there’s like no debate. this version is cool, but it’s not better than release.

The thing is, this is most likely a demo version of the song, judging by the unbalanced volume of the vocals and general rawness of the track. However, to be completely honest with you, the fact that certain things here are mixed better than in the original track is telling.
