Fun story (not very). I've gone Trick or Treating ONCE! I live in Sweden and growing up Halloween wasn't a thing here. My teacher in fourth grade (I was 10 at the time) told us about this tradition in English speaking countries especially in the US and Canada, so me and my friend decided to go Trick or Treating. After having to explain to three neighbors why we were dressed up and what T&T was all about and having received a single package of raisins as a treat we gave up and went home. Never went Trick or Treating again.

I used to never read aloud. I am dyslexic, & hated reading in school. Later, I taught 3-4 year olds & they were so forgiving & loved me reading even though I stumbled so often. They didn’t care. I’ve read aloud so much since having my own kids, too. I’m so much more confident now. It’s not easy though.

OMG James, you completely reminded me that I did the same exact thing: I begged and begged for my dad to take me through a haunted house and then once inside became too scared to go through and he had to carry me out. My dad had this habit of mumbling curses under his breath when he was frustrated and I can remember him swearing up a storm while all the noises of the haunted house surrounded us. He was so pissed. I have a terrible memory, and I can barely remember this happening. He passed away many years ago, so I wish I could talk to him to confirm this memory.

I had to comment on the if you were a ghost, where would you go question, because there's this incredibly strange, disturbing, weird, sad, maybe some other adjectives movie with Casey Affleck called A Ghost Story where, not to spoil anything, but there's a ghost who is tied to a place and it basically takes you through time and it's the most haunting and surreal thing ever. I don't know if it was a good movie or not a good movie, it was so...yeah, haunting. It seems like it might be the worst thing in the world and beyond to experience something like that :O

I just had to share my own sleep paralysis story cause it just felt so real! When I was in HS I frequently had sleep paralysis. But it was always just this feeling that i was half asleep/half awake but couldn't move. Nothing cray. When I went to college they started getting a little more...eerie? There are two in particular I remember vividly. The first, I was visiting my parents from college and in this particular night while I was paralyzed, I remember looking at my foot and it was being lifted up. I got freaked out and. Personally I do follow Jesus, so I remember praying like crazy. after a few seconds I broke from the paralysis and my foot was back down. But I never truly knew....was it really being lifted up? Or not? About a year later I was in my college dorm. It was probably around 4 am. And again. Paralyzed and I couldn't move. I would sleep with a blanket over my head cause my roomies loved it ice cold in the dorm. And i felt my blanket BEING PULLED DOWN and a whisper saying "yessssssie" in this weird creepy screechy voice. I again started praying and I woke up after a few seconds. Ya'll. I couldn't sleep for two months after that. Sleep paralysis (or maybe more?? who knows) is awful. Anyways. Thats my story happy Monday lol

peak + pit of my day yesterday...Pit: We had a Halloween party at my place and I was being the dj, but I'm like such a control freak that I wasn't having a good time. I also did not realize what an exhausting job it was and it didn't feel as rewarding as I hoped :( Peak: Had a really cute couple costume of Scully and Mulder of X-files :) I don't think The Conjuring is all that campy, but James Wan's new movie Malignant most def. has a lot of campy stuff going on. I stopped trick or treating my senior year of High School... I still walked around but I was dressed as like a vampire with an unhinged jaw and I didn't want to scare kids... I just wanted to hang with my friends you know.

OMG I HAVE A SPOOKY STORY. I have a rooftop patio that my dog, Finn (super cute, big fan of the pod) likes to play fetch on at all times of the year. So, naturally he has many balls and other toys out there. One morning, I woke up and three said toys/balls were placed in a little pile in front of my door, as if some playful spirit had left them there as an offering. The next morning, a candle appeared on top of the fence/wall why do I never know what to call that part of the patio? Thing that stops you from plummeting to your death? Anywho, I did not have candles out there, so the spirit found that maybe under the patio, maybe a previous resident had lost it somehow. Upon further inspection, I saw teeth marks in the candle. Yes, the spirit had EATEN the candle. Well, now this was getting REALLY SPOOKY. I borrowed a night vision camera from a friend to investigate this further, but before being able to set said camera up, I caught the BANDIT red-handed. YES, that's RIGHT, this was no spirit but a friendly neighbourhood trash panda, who eventually made a home in my couch cushions on my patio RIP cushions. We had a very cute face off and I reckon he has returned to his home under the deck. But trust me, it WAS spooky for, like, a second. :')
