She was 13 then and will be 19 in July, so a lot has happened. Courtney has been through her share of adversity, but has shown the perseverance and strength to fight for her vision as a major force in music. There is absolutely no one like Courtney in this field when it comes to her gritty, passionate style and riveting stage performance, which she can adapt to many genres. Welcome to Courtney's fan base. I'm sure many will join in after their Memorial day picnics and celebrations. This video is the best way to get introduced to Courtney. Within the 1st hour aft this video was uploaded it pretty much went viral. Within the 1st week it had 30 million if I remember. A few years ago it was calculated as being seen over 2 billion times across over all media platforms. I'm sure by now that's close to 3 billion if not more. It never gets old. Fans like me have watch this 1000 or more times. Too many reactions to count, so of which have over a million views. She's such a different artist than what todays music lovers have experienced. Very old school she is and sings in so many different genres. All of which when she performs on stage, she comes alive and becomes a different person. While she was on AGT at 13/14 yrs old, she received a lot of bullying and hatred from other acts fans. But Courtney stayed Courtney, even now. !! Hi Nomee. So cool that you've come upon Courtney's music. Courtney is absolutely amazing. The best thing to happen to the music world in decades, if not forever. She is equally great in everything from Rock to R&B, Funk, Soul and Ballads and there never is any loss to the incredible quality of her music. She even had an opera clip go viral on TikTok. You can't fully tell from this audition, but she is a true stage beast, in the best sense of the word, and dominates a stage like no other when she's rocking out. She's a dynamite guitarist, plays piano and is a true powerhouse as a song writer. As you hear more of Courtney, you'll realize what a truly generational talent she is. Courtney had been singing for a number of years prior, but she burst to worldwide fame when she took America's Got Talent (AGT) by storm with this performance in 2018. This audition video went viral and currently has over 1 Billion views. Courtney herself has well over 2 Billion on line views. She has a devoted following of millions from virtually everywhere on the globe. On AGT, Courtney focused on singing classic rock from the 60's and 70's by the likes of James Brown, Tina Turner and Janis Joplin. She literally blew the roof off of the arena with every performance. After AGT, so many who were first introduced to her there, viewed her as strictly this fabulous stage dominating rocker, which she most certainly is. However, she is so, so much more. Few realized how versatile she really was. So she then released a four song EP, where she took massive recent hits across multiple genres, totally re-invented them and created something amazing out of each of them. As an example, one of the songs on the EP was 'Lil Nas' huge record setting hit 'Old Town Road', which Courtney turned from it's original Country/Hip Hop version into a magnificent rock anthem. The purpose was to highlight both her incredible vocal range, but also her unmatched creativity. For all four of the songs on the EP, I've never come across anyone who has heard both the originals and Courtney's version, that didn't feel that Courtney blew the originals totally out of the water. Courtney is 18 now. There have been many hurdles for her to get her original music out. First were issues with her label, where they tried to twist her into something she didn't want to be. Another pop princess. Courtney stood her ground. Then Covid hit and shut everything down for over two years. Courtney is British and travel was completely shut down from the UK to the US (where here team was) during that time. As soon as she could, at the beginning of this year, she walked away from her label and went independent. Since that has happened, she has already dropped two incredible originals. 'Breakable', a gritty ballad and 'That Girl Don't Live Here', a jazzy uptempo song with a touch of 1940's swing, with much more to come. Courtney has a huge song library that she has developed over the last several years, which she hasn't been able to release, but she has shared many, in whole or part, with he fans, and they are incredible. She is such a powerhouse as a songwriter. Keep going with Courtney. There is way more where that cam from. If you like this, wait until she takes the stage and eventually gets invited back for champions. She also published four live covers of contemporary music as an album, plus, has put out three of her own music as breathtaking videos. You know I really admired Courtney from the time I saw her on Voice Kids UK she was a fire ball had the full package could dance and sing ❤😂 thought she reminded me of Tina Turner she watched James Brown moves and got it down to the ground.
