Wonderful video! And you explained all the details very well. I think you made a fabulous choice; to me, black lambskin with gold hardware is the epitome of classic Chanel. This combo was my first Chanel bag (after a black caviar WOC, but they are technically categorized as a small leather good), and it is 7 years old and in stunning condition. I am careful with it, but not obsessive, and there are no issues of wear and tear at all. And it is so luxurious to handle the lambskin, I love it! I predict you will love and enjoy your bag for many years to come!

Well, that was a wonderful experience! I remember and so loved making my first fine purchases. I'm from a small town in Florida, but traveled a lot as a child. Soon after graduating I moved to NYC, where I was hired by the largest architectural firm in the world (the designers of the Burj Khalifa). It was 'cold' in NYC, and this Florida boy was unprepared. I believe I 'dreamed' my first purchase - a cashmere scarf, with a certain pattern and color. That weekend I walked along Fifth Avenue, until I came to a store I'd heard about - Lord & Taylor. I stepped inside, found my way to the scarf section - and there was "my" scarf, exactly as I'd seen it in my dream. Of course I made the purchase - softest scarf I've ever owned! Since then, I've purchased a cashmere coat from a special store in Munich Germany, a man's Chanel watch from a beautiful Chanel store, and more. Each purchase felt wonderful. Each moment remembered. Each item still in my possession, in perfect condition, and appreciated. I wish you many more fun experiences like this!

Henri Bendel was a fun place just to hang out, kind of like a night club during the day, with its music, the celebrities & models you would see shopping there. Congratulations. It is always good to buy what you like more. I have a preloved Chanel that is 25 years old and is in lambskin. and another one that is 27 years also in lambskin. They look very good and so I don't really worry about lambskin scratching. I don't like Caviar leather especially on the bigger bags:)

Nice bag, just not worth the heavy premium you pay for the brand. They produce these bags for maybe +- 200 dollar. It's not worth a 30x-50x premium (for me!). And don't get me wrong, I'm a CHANEL fan, but their price increases have been ridiculous and the quality has decreased. But I hope you enjoy it! It's your money and you decide how to spend it.
