I grew Arctic King lettuce early in the year for early spring, and it worked well. I'm going to try it for fall/winter this year. I love Winter Density, too! I also found Winter Spinach, and I'm going to try it this year. I'm also going to try the Mache this year. My carrots did well last year!

I was able to find the nevada lettuce at walmart through burpee. Put about 50 transplants in may and have been eating salad 5 times a week and giving away alot to family because they like to make wilted lettuce.

Bok choy always gets decimated by slugs and flea beetles. Can I cover it maybe and hope it will go better this time? I love baby bok choy in soup! How late can you start parsnips in zone 6? I always thought they had to planted in spring because they have such a long season.
