Actually, I would've went a little nuts, too, sis. A friend sent me my initial vid of Yebba singing this song. I haven't been able to stop searching for "reaction" vids since. But I BREAK DOWN crying EVERY time I watch her sing this song. It touches me deep in my core. I don't like a few of these critiques who're SUPPOSED TO be showing their reaction. Because they don't HAVE a reaction! They talk over Yebba's singing INSTEAD OF pausing it and THEN giving their opinion. I HATE stuff like that!!!! But this young lady has a SERIOUS gift!!! Yebba wrote this a week after her mother committed suicide after a battle with depression. Yebba stated that this is the only time she would ever sing this song for us. She gave this song to the world for free. How incredible is it, that even knowing all this, I still cannot believe the amount of raw pain and open vulnerability that Yebba showed in this one off performance of My Mind. Her mother used to call her Yebba, because it is her real name, reversed. It was her mother's pet name she had for her daughter. Abbey took it for her stage name. Yebba is an EXTRAORDINARY singer! The words fail me to describe what I feel when I hear this song, I have heard it 7 times, and I get serious goosebumps every time. God give you peace Yebba after your terrible loss.

I had never heard of this woman, this song and I can say after hearing it I'm torn trying to decide if someone should thank this guy for bringing out this song from deep within her or curse him for ever bringing that kind of pain for anyone to deal with. My body was reacting to her emotion to the point I couldn't sit still in my chair, holding my breath at times and felt like I was under water and choking up trying to keep my eyes clear to see. Her gift is not only her amazing voice its her ability to project emotions into others, cant help but think if there were more people like this that could make people feel emotions from events that they had never even experienced themselves the world would be a much better place.

I find myself watching these reactions pretty often. This very thing happened to me, word for word..after 5 years together. I remember not being able to control my emotions and needing depression meds after, something I never thought I'd need. I resonate with this song so much, and even though I'm way past that terrible time in my life, this song reopens the wound every..single..time. I just like to remind myself that I'm human and it's ok to experience pain, since after all it made me stronger. Great reaction.
