It’s actually incredible that he rides with literal no front brakes. I first thought it was just a play on words to indicate he is just all speed. But no it literally means he only has one arm and doesn’t have access to front brakes because of it. AND HE STILL RIDES!!! No excuses!! Just go ride!!

I like your comment to the "chilling" time you spend in your van. 2 years ago we bought a similar van. After 2 months Mtb vacation in Skandinavia we found out, it's not big enough for the whole bike family... For 2019 we bought a bigger one and enjoy together biking and outdoor weekend and vacations...

When you get to new Hampshire check out highland bike park, they have an old but bike friendly chair lift. Also for jump rope on hard ground check out the 4 piece floor mat from harbor freight, it's cheap and would be easy to keep in the van.

Love these! Also, I know Kansas doesn't have a ton, but you have to hit it for all 50 states. So whether it be Switchgrass or something closer to Missouri, you should take time to come check out the kids in Topeka. There's a volunteer group that's focusing on getting kids stoked on riding the trails. Normally about 20 kids show up on a weekly basis to progress and get fit. The guy's name is Kasey and he does a lot for the community and shows you can enjoy a bike, even in a flyover state :)

MMMMMM, unexpected rain sounds just like NC, wash your car and in a few hours or less its drizzling. You need a chauffeur so you're all rested up, that must be tough driving, riding, editing, trying to sleep, etc.. but glad you made the switch to the van life. ANY area has cheaper gas prices than CA Brian. About a month or so ago I sold my 2018 Spectral for a good price and bought a 2019 Rocky Mountain Instinct Carbon 90 BC edition leftover from a shop in Idaho listed on PinkBike, SERIOUS deal!!! Got myself some nice carbon wheels and just sold the factory alloy wheels today actually. I can tell you the RM climbs better than the Spectral, I tried the same hilly and Rooty area that I was very lucky to make on the Spectral and this went up almost with ease, no front end lift and stays planted, descends with more confidence too, gotta love that flashy paint scheme as well.

There are many communities in Texas with immigrants from all over. German, Polish, Czech all relocated here and are prevalent, especially in the Hill Country. I dont live too far from that Katy Bucee's (30 miles), Was it 98 pumps and 48 ice machines? The bathrooms are off the hook. There is an attendant. Place has over 70 employees per shift.
