The purple light that you are seeing is IR lights that they use fir detection of thing like walks and furniture.

Yeedi is made by Ecovacs, I'm not sure why they are choosing to make robots under another brand name besides their own, a lot of companies do that for some reason, they will make products with more than one brand name even if they are similar. The purple light that you mentioned is probably because the obstacle avoidance system is using lasers rather than a camera. This is why it doesn't take pictures of the obstacles. Even though we can't see the laser, many cameras can.
