you might be mistaken...are you referring to the instrument slung across the shoulders, with a wooden body, being hit with a curved stick? (Shown at 6:55 and 7:42) if so, that's actually an Indian dhol... btw its played with two sticks, not just one ;) (7:13 onwards)
